For those that aren't on the Netrunner-L list, we're starting to gather momentum for playing Netrunner through Magic Work Station (MWS). To get you started, here's a great site with information to get you up and running on MWS: http://www.uni-koblenz.de/~ffko/Netrunner/ . What we need at this point is to start getting the word out to everyone that would like to play so that there are plenty of opponents in every time zone.

in other headlines, the guys who brought you NetRunner Quarterly recently re-launched. The new site is http://www.arasaka.de/ and has all the back issues of NRQ in .pdf format, as well as archives of Frisky's corner and much more! A goldmine of the best articles written about the game! I also added the link to the BGG page, enjoy!

Excellent news. Go to the wikispace to join the list of opponents:

http://netrunner.wikispaces.com/

By clicking Join this space, a window pops up to ask for membership to the space.

The installation of MWS is pretty straightforward; I'll have to practice a bit with the interface to get a good feel for it. Anybody who wants to try it, please geekmail me.

Our local group has a small group that have started playing again as well. I wonder if wizards is aware that the world's interest has now finally caught up to Netrunner. (everyone knows what "the matrix" is now)

Great news. I'll have to dust of my magic workstation.

There's also a client called Lackey ccg (http://www.lackeyccg.com/) that has a NR plugin.

Heh. Allen you beat me to posting this. Guess I shouldn't have waited to go on vacation before bringing this up on the list.

Seriously though, anyone who is interested (regardless of skill level or if you even have cards in RL... we have a bunch of young blood in here) in playing please add your info to the wiki that's been setup. I'm hoping we can actually make something of this and get some running going.

EDIT: Silent, there is an open source CCG engine that a couple people are working on. Someone recently posted in the Netrunner-L mailing list about setting up Netrunner for it, and it looks pretty promising. The guy handling the Netrunner part is also a Mac user and the lack of MWS support for Mac sounds like why he got involved with the project.

Here's a link to the project: http://gccg.sf.net/

Re: Netrunner Online (again?)
Greeting, I'm Malhavoc, the one who had created the NR patch for MWS.

I'm proud to announce I've registered a domain for a site entirely devoted to NetRunner: it contains links to my new NR patch, a java IRC chat, and a forum to discuss the game and trade cards.

Have I said "new" patch? Yes, indeed. I've recompiled the patch with better graphic for the virtual cards, made also a better play area, and most of all I've added a famous Virtual Set which lacked in the previous version. Which set? Neal's Dangerous Allies!

So, what do you expect to visit the site, join the forum, and regrowth the old community? Jack back in the net at http://runners-net.com
