I take that as very strong complement, as Good Eats is my primary inspiration for BGWS. (Alton Brown, from Good Eats, and Samantha Brown, from travel shows, are my Host Idols).

It was. Alton Brown rocks. Of course, when the farmer started chasing the gamer, I almost expected to hear the Benny Hill theme song. ;)

And I am glad that Yakety Saxs (aka Benny Hill tune) was not used just to avoid the cliched use of that tune.

Good Review! I thought the intro was great. When the intro faded to the theme song, I fully expected to see you come on clean shaven. That would have made the intro priceless! :p

Thanks! Keep up the great work!

Looks cool. Nice review as always.

I couldn't make out the last thing said in the video.

Something like:

"It's the only game with a *something something* in all of the world...*laughter*"

Can anyone translate the Scottish for me? :D

Also, Scott says it might be best with 2 players...yet the BGG page says it plays with only 3 to 4 players.

So...huh? :what:

Oh! That's what it is! I heard something.. umm.. different..

And from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Tupping:

tup (tp)
n.
1. Chiefly British A male sheep; a ram.
2. A heavy metal body, especially the head of a power hammer.

v. tupped, tup·ping, tups
v.tr.
To copulate with (a ewe). Used of a ram.

v.intr.
To copulate with a ewe.

So, the T-shirt had the right slogan, it was just being worn by the wrong species.

I second that, I was also expecting to see you clean shaved! That would have been funny!

Kevin, it can definitely be played with just 2 players. The original printing of the game said 3-4 players, but then a 2-player variant was developed. The 2-player rules were included in the instructions that came with the Mayfair version of the game, and the Mayfair version lists 2-4 players on the box. I think it works well with just 2 players, and I've just submitted a correction on the Shear Panic page to fix this :)

Great episode Scott! The openings are getting more and more creative. The interview with the designers was excellent. And I liked the plug for Meeple People too :)

Two things I just also wanted to mention. I think you misspelled the Lamont brother's last name, at least on the iTunes version of the video, as Lamant.

Also, at 11:27 into the video, I think the pair of one red and one green sheep can move diagonal (down and to the right) to reconnect, so you would have to roll the +/X die to determine which direction to move them. I could be wrong about this, in which case I'd appreciate being corrected, but have been playing it differently than you explained.

The only improvement would've been to use the Benny Hill music over a barnyard chase scene which climaxes in Scott actually having his beard shaved off.

That is an unusual use of the term "improvement". I would have perhaps used a term such as "disaster" or "torture".

Now, if perhaps a salary were involved.. or even a shiny new video camera.. then that's a different story.

But shave this bear for a giggle? Nuh-uh.
