Well Ken, we know that you know how to play Ingenious. ;-)

This is kind of like asking if there's a point in owning more than one card game. I agree, they are very different. I find that children love Blokus, while I end up playing Ingenious more with adults.

To put it another way, Blokus is more of a gateway game, but I enjoy both.
