It's so great to see representatives of Funforge posting here, but..

How did those dice ever get through quality control!?

It is good that they are reacting to the situation now that people have raised the issue, but why wasn't the dice checked for quality? Even the dice that are not chipped or painted lousily look really bad and worn out and uneven. It's a dice-based game, dice are the most important component! They need to be fair and look good. I have children games that cost ten times less that have dice that look better.

Indeed. To make a long story short we are the first ones to feel fooled by the factory which delivered dice which were not coherent with the validated samples. This is precisely the reason why we have made produced replacement dice for the problematic copies of this first edition.
Unfortunately these kind of things happens sometimes and we cannot do more than exchanging for free the problematic pieces once there is a problem. Stating this, there is no valid point into keeping on repeating that this shouldn't have happened, we are very aware of this (and still mad at the factory because of this).
Keeping on blaming us for a factory mistake won't make a miracle and won't change the dice in the boxes. Only asking for the customer service will do this and, please be sure that both Passport and Funforge will fullfill this the very best as they possibly can (still, unfortunately, we don't own a time machine to revert this ;) ).
Once again for those who think that we've made a production mistake on purpose just for the joy of suffering from such thread and having to cover additionnal customer service, I can assure you (as seems to be needed) that you are wrong.
Thanks for your understanding, we are doing our very best to solve this problem in the best delays and conditions for those suffering from it.
As a side note regarding this factory I can tell you this: lesson well learned and never again to happen. You can trust me on this one!

Hi all,

Just a refresher for those just joining this thread: If you have defective dice and live in the US, Canada (excluding Quebec) or Mexico, simply contact Passport Game Studios at http://passportgamestudios.com/contact/
and we will ship you a new set of dice. (We don't need pictures and no need to return the bad dice, as we are not working directly with the factory).

The dice are en route, so I will update you when they hit our warehouse/begin shipping.

If anyone has any additional issues or questions about their copy of Quantum, please use that link above or just ask on this thread.

I can tell you that we've been actively encouraging the player community to check their dice, but we're only seeing a small amount of players have problems with their dice (about 12). That's not only encouraging for us, but should help you breathe a little easier as well.

Rob has just returned from Germany and will be responding to emails, so that you know we've received your claim.

Again, I'm always available for questions.

I think it is great that Passport ships new set of dice for people who have problems. Funforge however requires dice to be shipped to them before sending new dice, which is really upsetting as this would mean weeks of delay without being able to play the game.

But the problem with dice isn't only about some of the dice being in a bad shape. All of the dice are actually problematic, pips not painted properly, dice not shaped like a dice and being a little uneven, making them possibly biased. I'm also afraid that these dice might break if they fall off the table, since parts of my dice are a little chipped. Entire dice set would have to be replaced from an entirely different production line (even manufacturer) to fix this issue, sadly.

My dice just look bad, but I won't be sending them to France from Estonia just because of it, because I can play with them. It just leaves a sour taste in my mouth because they are by far the worst dice in all of my games.

At least I can leave the worst dice aside to serve as Research and Domination dice.

Did you read my previous posts before posting yours?
I've precised that the return policy have been setup ONLY for France as we are a French publisher. This procedure has been setup to help us solve the problem with the factory and once again is valid ONLY for France.
If you DO NOT live in France, we'll proceed to the exchange upon pictures of the problem.

Thanks for the Reply Philippe. Sorry for the confusion on my initial request. Since you guys are french and french is my first language, it just felt naturally to me to write to you in french in my original email. There is obviously a few millions francophones here in Canada, the majority being in Quebec. I confirm that my copy of Quantum is in french.

I also confirm that I've received an email from Funforge who will proceed to replace all of my dice right away without requiring me to send the defective ones after seeing the pictures I sent them. This was my goal as I can continue to play the game with my kids and friends while waiting on the new dices.

It's unfortunate That the supplier had this bad string of production since the color and size of the dices are really nice and set them appart from other normal d6 dices.

I'm looking forward to receive the new dice. I will update everyone once I do.

I posted some of the early pictures of defective dice from this game. I have played it since and not worried too much about the bias etc. I wouldn't be interested in returning dice nor receiving a set that match the best of what I already have since I don't think even they, are all that great.

What I would be interested in is, if in a future publication you sourced much higher quality dice, selling sets of the dice for early adopters. Would you put this on your list of considerations?

Sorry to repeat myself but any idea on how the new dice will be shaped? Will they be cubes with no round sides? Flat on all sides? My dice are serviceable, but all of them have a rounded side, if the replacement dice are similar I see no reason to ask for replacements just yet.

I emailed Passport Games through their contact form page and received a pretty prompt response.

Now just waiting for word on replacements being shipped. Pretty painless process.

Thanks for this - I just submitted a claim for new dice. Mine were literally the worst set of dice - misfigured and mis-stamped!! The 2 pip green die was literally stamped with 4 dots with a few other die being misfigured as well as terrible pip stamps. hahaha

I ended up upgrading to a nice sets of Chessex dice, but having an original copy would be nice.

I appreciate the information on this and the ability to make a worry free claim!

I personally went to funforge website and found the email there. I contacted their after sale customer service email which is sav@funforge.fr and that's how I started my dice exchange process.

The replacement dice will hit our warehouse on Feb 17th, and we will start shipping out your replacements on that day! You'll get another follow up email from us when YOUR shipment goes out the door. I can also vouch for how great the customer service is, at least in the US. I had a reply back in about 16 hours, and new dice will be shipped to me as soon as possible.

Where have you gone Phillippe? Funforge e-mail either does not work or you're not responding to dice-related e-mails anymore.
