HI everyone, as you could have seen, i've recently bought 2 original art of Netrunner.

I am actually contacting many original artists who worked on Netrunner and most of them could be interested to paint new art for us ...

As you could guess it is not free, so i contact everybody to know who could be interested to buy original new art .

The prices will depend on the quality level demand for each paintings but it will be between 100 and 300 $

each investors will have his paints and in return has to concede the scans to the community ( NRO Team ) in order to design new cards .

this is completly legal we can do that and use them as we've done like illustration found for virtual expansion.

The further goal is to have very nice cards ( around 50 to 100) to be proposed to WOTC so that they just have to say "ok we'll print them".

The things that costs a lot to Wotc years ago was to pay for illustration, if we make the work for them then something is possible.

We can further work on a system based on "print on demand" so that Wotc could trust that something is possible for the Game.

Hope you understand what i mean

Seeya

Proposal to WOTC would never go through. They do not own full rights to Netrunner and thus cannot print any new expansions.

You are better off just making it a fan expansion at this point.

This is the sad fact, and fate, of the game.

Richard Garfield stated recently in an interview that he was fairly likely to be able to require the license from Hasbro.

Hopefully his knowledge of the likelihood is better than yours.

Re: Netrunner new official expansion ??
Getting the liscense from Hasbro is not the same as getting the green light from Talsorian.

But, if he did get at least the rules liscense then he could potentially re-theme the game to remove the Cyberpunk RPG elements. Assuming he doesnt still owe Talsorian for the last screw-up.

hi guys in a first time i agree with you BUT it has been a while that i've tried to relauch the game and i know MANY things that you don't know i guess .

I've Met Richard in february and played a Netrunner games with him, i also made my own interview and told me quite the same as the newest one .
I know very well one of the person who work at WOTC and i know some things that i cannot spread at this time.

i know Mike pondsmith from R talsorian; the licence problem with them isn't one ... i can't say more ... sorry

I know the old artistic director mr Craig Hooper, i'm actually gathering artists who worked on the game in 1996 ...

I'm on several front just trust and help us instead of saying it is impossible nothing is impossible, i wanted to meet Richard i've suuceed in, i wanted an unreleased card of Silent impact i get it from WOTC 's Boss ... nobody is more motivated on this game than me just trust me and help by any ways you can ..

all i have to say is that WOTC have in stock around 100 cards full tested balanced and ready to print plus the one we are creating balancing and illustrating with playful EE in NRO ruling team.

BELEIVE me ALL is possible now just gather us play and spread the game we WILL succedd !!

ANd as we said n an other post, do we really need R talsorian anymore since the game and graphics identity are owned by WOTC only the universe of Cyberpunk 2020 is R talsorian property .. so what ? change the universe to a generic cyberpunk one not using the same name of runner, corporation or some event founds on flavor text...

The game could be the same with only minor changes ...

I think you will have an easier time of it if Netrunner is put back in print.

If it got reprinted in a non-CCG form I would play it in a heartbeat. Such a good game.

The best bet would be to hook up with Fantasy Flight for a "living card game" as that seems to be their thing.

Living Card Games seem to be a milder form of CCGs. The business model is that you have to buy something every month, but at least you know what's in the package.

I'll never buy another "cardboard crack" product - not even a reboot of NetRunner, my favorite game ever.

If Netrunner was resurrected as an LCG, I'd be all over that.

The Fantasy Flight LCG packs are about $10 online, to me that's a reasonable price for a monthly expansion, and you can easily skip any packs you're not interested in since the contents are known.

My objections to "Cardboard Crack":

* Designers deliberately leave things out to allow for new content in their endless stream of addons
* Designers deliberately make earlier content useless (continuous inflation) in order to make new content attractive
* It never ends. You have to keep paying forever so you're playing the same game as everyone else (i.e. the majority of your possible opponents)

I can think of only one advantage:
* Bad components and/or rules can be rotated out easily

The prices are messed up too, which just makes it worse. Your USD 10 per month hit of cardboard will cost me USD 20 per month - despite the cards being printed and packaged in Europe or China.
