I have uploaded the instructions to my gallery. I spoke with an admin and this was the suggested method. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. I really want to give this game a try. Found it at my local thrift store for almost nothing and it was brand new. Can't pass up the chance to play this game.

Thank you in advance for anyone who could help me.

wow Oh my god, a Lode Runner BOARD GAME?!?

I can't tell you how many senseless hours I spent playing that game on the Apple II. (That and Karateka!)

Magnificent find!

Someone else had a similar problem not too long ago. See this thread about translating Japanese.

Let us know how it all turns out!

If you can wait several months (January-ish) until I finish my projects at work, then I can translate this for you (for free). But in the meantime, you might wanna ask the other person on the Geek who owns this game whether he has the English rules. He may be able to scan them and send them to you.

I might also be able to help you with the translation, the text is fairly simple and written in a language to be easily understand by kids.
I cant promise when I will have the time to go through it thoroughly though, because I am busy with my own work too.

I appreciate any and all help. Thank you guys. It is certainly no rush at all. I might send it through babel fish too since I scanned it to PDF with OCR so I can copy paste.

If you get a rough translation from babelfish, you can send it to me and check if it is correct.
It would definitely take less than translating the whole text from 0.

Re: Looking for help with a translation for Lode Runner
I have been working on it. The word psycho pops up a lot...

My biggest problem was copy and pasting Japanese. I had to install the language add-on to Windows. Then I had to export Japanese OCR through Acrobat Professional.

Now I am copying and pasting stuff into Babel Fish and Google Translate. Not surprisingly they are anything but similar. I found that if I copy and paste a line, then start deleting characters from the end it makes more sense sometimes. I am working on section titles and captions first since they seem to translate easier.

Give me a week with it and I will get it as far as I can then I will pass it on for better translation.
