I have been getting the urge to go to Europe. I have never been. Just trying to get a feel for what I could do and where I could stay. If some FTLers have a couch and a game to play for a night that could factor into the planning!! I am graduating in May and think I would make my trip some time after that. Any suggestions of where to go and what to do and what to see are more than welcome- I am more into the rural, historical, cultural things and not so much into the tourist trap stuff. This is very tentative at this point and is my first step to making this happen!
If you want to visit Antwerp, I can't offer a room, but our sofa opens up into a double bed.
History and culture all around. Not too much ruralness I guess, but you only need to go half an hour outside the city for that.
You can't say you've lived until you've stood here and watched the sun set (with the brisk atlantic breeze).
I can offer neither games nor lodging at the Cliffs of Moher, but you won't be disappointed should you go there.
Well, I can second the Cliffs (I live not too far away from them). I could, perhaps, even offer a game night. One thing to bear in mind: The weather here in Ireland is kind of "Vancouverian", i.e. it is rainy (esp. here in the Wesht) and in summer, if we get 20 degrees Celsius, it is considered a heatwave. At the moment, it is 14 degrees, winters tend to be much milder than in continental Europe because of the Gulf Stream.
Shopping for games: forget it, unfortunately, no game shops that deserve the name.
