These micro-communities within BGG have become popular; more information is available at:

GameChat_League Wiki Entry
GameChat League Hub List
What is a GCL?

While each group has its own character and habits, the general format is the same: gather a group of 10 to 18 compatible people, set up a notification mechanism (usually a subscription thread), and post weekly Geeklists where people can talk about the games they have been playing, the games they are looking into, and other related topics. (Typically one member posts starter discussion topics for the week.)

no need to lurk if you have something to say. Speak up! If its relevant it will probably be appreciated.
