What is the Team Logo for on Star Player cards? It just adds to the confusion. I think it would be logical to have the OWA/CWC logo instead... Am I missing something?

There's a Reikland Reavers team upgrade which gives you 1 point for every star player you have but 2 points for each Reikland Reavers star player you have. As far as I know that's the only card which tracks that but it's easier to have it in now and if there are expansions other things can trigger of it.

The team logo indicates which team that Star Player was signed to, or made their name with, in the Blood Bowl back story. It's also a good indication of that player's race. But apart from that one team upgrade card, it has no (current) effect on gameplay.

After a long wait I finally got the chance to play this last weekend, but we could not get past the star players set up and had to pack it away in frustration. From what I can gather from this thread you can have say an Elf star player playing for a human team. Is that correct?
I could not work out for sure where the star players go. The picture of the set up in the rules suggested two decks (one for each conference?), but the rules themselves talked about a team's designated deck. Can anyone clarify this please?

I cannot see why the cards are in team colours if they are not supposed to be kept together in teams. I take the point about back story but it doesn't really help someone who is not familiar with the back story.

It is explained at the beginning of the rules. There are 2 conferences one containing the Elves, Humans and Dwarves and the other containing Chaos, Skaven and Orcs. The star players play for a specific conference (exception is Morg).

The teams aren't racist, if a Dwarven team gets a chance to pick up an Elven superstar (assuming such a creature existed and has not been killed by the hordes of Chaos yet) they take him, because winning is apparently important and Elves, having unbelievably long life spans, also read up on that part of the game involving the ball. The semi-confusing part is that some Stars wear colors of the team of their race represented in the game (which is a historical tie-in I guess and might be important in some future expansion).

And what with 'friendly star player'? Is it a star player with logo of my team or any logo from my confederation?

What's the context? Where are you reading 'friendly star player'?

It will either mean the Star players from your conference... OR it might mean the star players you've drafted and are playing for your team.

Why can't each player have their own beer?
