Just recently moved from Redwood City to San Jose and looking to find some folks who may be interested in getting together and play something other than ASL.

If you are interested, sound off below!

Re: San Jose, California Wargamers
There's an EastBayWargamer's group (they have a mailing list under that name IIRC). I suggest also contacting Chris Farrell and BoardGameAddictsOfThePeninsula as they both have a strong wargame presence.

Hi Jeb,

I'd be interested. What happened to all the wargamers? I'm in San Jose. If you're still out there, let me know. I'd try any wargame. OCS series, Fighting Formations, GD42, or any fun offerings you can think of. I always like the strategic games all of the war in europe or combined ETO/PTO.

I have plenty of room to leave something set up for long periods.

Cheers,

Dave

Dave, great to hear from you!

I'll send you an email directly to try to set something up.

BTW if you are interested, we are starting a campaign game of Three Days at Gettysburg this Sunday at my place. You can get he rules on the GMT site. I've got a grill and will have burgers so feel free to join us!

Hi Jeb,

Three Days at Gettysburg looks like a great game, I can sort of remember TSS. I would love to come by and at least check out some action. I"m not sure what time you're getting together. I usually do a long bike ride Sunday morning/early afternoon and it leaves my spent, perhaps a bit like running up Little Round Top several times.

Cheers,

Dave

Hey Jeb, Dave

There is a meetup group for South Bay War Games.

We are playing classic AH Rise and Decline of Third Reich.

You're welcome to join if interested.

If you're looking for a general gaming place, I make it a point to stop at Game Kastle by San Jose Airport whenever I'm in on business. Good selection, a decent rack of wargames, and a large miniatures offering.

Big game room in the back too. Probably not quite what you're looking for, but it's another social link.

I'll second Game Kastle, they have open gaming on Wednesday evenings, so you could stop by tonight and poke around. I normally play boardgames, so can't help with ASL, but I know there are normally people playing a variety of miniature based historics.

fyi, http://www.gamekastle.com/

The historical mini's is lead by a guy named Dan who is a classic hard ass in all the good ways. He's a wonderful gamer and will help out new players (though he expects you to listen...the first time). I haven't played with them in over a year but the ruleset they were using was Fields of Glory. At the time I left they were starting to get into FoG Renaissance.
