In our six player game one house lost all its units.
What becomes of this house? Does it bid? Is it placed on the three tracks?

It needs to lose it's home territory to be eliminated. Otherwise it can still muster. Even if another house takes over your home territory, you can still get it back later if it's liberated or if it's vacated without a power token left behind.

curiously the FAQ says this as its last item...

"Q: What occurs if a player has no castles or strongholds left and no units left to order? Is he eliminated from the game?
A: No, that player is not eliminated from the game and continues playing with what little resources he has left."

Seems to suggest even with hometown gone you are still in the game...

I thought it would be impossible to get units back in the game in this case? but i guess there is the chance someone could liberate your hometown, then move out and not leave a power token behind to own it. in that case you could muster back into it because your default token shows the locals are loyal...

However, a that point i imagine i would be on my way home to bed...

They still get to bid if they have tokens left, and they could still get units back if their hometown was deserted and a lucky mustering card came up.

Unlikely, but they're still 'in the game'.

More importantly, even if they don't have any power tokens, they are still part of the game. So if you are the Iron Throne holder you can use them to fill the star spaces so your enemies get fewer special actions (of course, as long as everybody is bidding zero tokens, which can happen if there's a lot of bidding for the tracks).

Also, any "eliminated" players are bidding for the Wilding attacks, and can get the "lowest bidder" penalty.

Given that eliminated players often (though not always) have no or very few power tokens collected, get ready to be the punching back for track bids and wildling attacks devil

Although if you are tied during bids, the Iron Throne owner can often be persuaded to place you higher.

seriously, who would stick around in the above scenarios? Its a moot point! I for one would go home and play Skyrim...

Well, it happened to me last Friday. I stuck around because a) I still had a lone boat raiding people and b) the game's mine.

Re: House 'elimination'
We have had situations where people lost all land troops and areas and were left with only a couple of ships. We had a house rule where the person could then beach their ships and gain footmen in exchange in that situation

That was early in our gaming sessions though. Once everyone gets good at the game, it becomes quite rare to be even that that close to elimination.

There is a special ability in this case : "Owner' madness" which could suddenly end the game - was you aware about it ?
