Hi there! Follow my gaming exploits on Twitter (fehrmeister)

5 days ago, I posted the following image here on BGG:

It was just a simple image taken by my iPhone at last year's BGG.CON and I was debating whether to even upload it as I didn't think it was a particulary great shot. It's certainly not one of the better photos I've taken.

When I look at the front page of this site right now, surprise
lo and behold, I see that this photo has made it to the ranks of the top 6 most thumbed game images in the last week. I am pleased, but very confused, to the point of thinking that I might be the victim recipient of a random drive-by thumb-bombing (these are tremendously fun but can cause a lot of head-scratching by the target). Undermining is a good game, but it's not in "The Hotness" so I'm pleasantly confused by all this attention.

Does anyone have any idea why this image is so hot? Am I being punk'd?

I don't think so, but hey, punk'd or not, I suggest you just enjoy the thumbs anyway.

Probably because the shadow above the table looks like a whole lot of cleavage. I can think of no other reason.

I would go with the cleavage thing...and remember that Thumbs are betters than fingers. I wish BGG would add a (middle) finger option as kinda of an anti-thumb...

Because it's a beautiful shot? (:

I see too many BGG pics which are vanity "Hey, lookit meee!" shots, often showing off stuff that's not at all related to the game. It also doesn't hurt that the game itself is *beautiful* and the game setup is layed out and well-organized.

Sure, maybe it's a fluke and you got lucky. Keep up the good work!

When I thumbed this, it was already on the front page. I thumbed it, because it shows very well what the game looks like when it is played, thus it is a valuable contribution. The image quality could be better, but it is still good enough to get an impression.

Re: Why in the Sniggle-McSnorf Is This Photo I Uploaded So Hot?
I am subscribed to Undermining, as it is a game by a designer whom I (reluctantly) admire. Seeing the picture (which is nice), I thumbed it.

Just kidding Matt, I don't admire you.

Edit: Disclaimer! I thumbed my own comment, because I was amused by my comment, that I made.
