Alas, not yet. I hope it arrives by this weekend so I can show it at SaltCon!

Ah, I wish I knew of the con, so I could send it earlier

My Happy Farm just arrived! I'll make sure to share it with gamers at SaltCon. Yes, Paul, this does look like a game your family would really enjoy. Thanks so much, Nad!

You know my answer....I'll play anything.

I might be up for Outpost with the Kicker Expansion. I'm eager to take another swing at that game. Maybe someone else other than you will win this time.

Steve has good tastes in games and always has good options to pick from. No overly dry euros or game that playout as multi-player solitare.

Thanks Marco. I really enjoy playing games with you and appreciate your perspective on what makes a good game. Your comprehension of rulebooks is amazing, especially given the fact that English is not your primary language.

It has been a great week. Thanks to everyone that asked questions, made comments, send geekmail or just thumbed. I've met some great members of this community this week. If anyone has any remaining questions don't hesitate...

I will be revealing the answer to the "one lie" poll tommorrow morning, so there is still time to vote. I look forward to passing the torch to a well deserving GEEK tomorrow evening.

Until tomorrow... as I'm now headed out to GAME NIGHT !!!

Well I had the opportunity to play Last Will but unfortunately I was a little late to the meeting and was the 6 man to arrive with the game just starting. We had a low turn out for our Friday meeting since there is a full day session going on with the same group today. I still enjoyed watching and learning the game.

Last Will has neat mechanics for determining turn order and how many cards, worker placements, and actions each player will receive on a given round. This adds a nice layer of interaction to what otherwise would be multi-player solitaire. Players are building their own tableau of card combination which reminded me of the game London. The first game got off to a slow start since everyone was new to the game and needed to get up to speed on the iconography. All and all a very good game. Thanks Marco for bringing it down. I look forward to my first play of the game. Last Will is probably best with 4.

The second game of the evening was a 6 player game of Outpost. As Steve said, "Let's give the GotW the honor of picking the next game". We played with the Kicker expansion cards for the first time and to me they are a must. It was a great game. I didn't play as well as in my first swing at the game but it was still a good time. Yes Steve, "I should have been focusing more on Technology Discounts and Titanium early in the game".

Thanks Christopher.

Thanks Alf,

I was just following your lead as I have been with my game design endeavors.
I greatest thing about the BGG community is not the content available on the website (although it is awesome), it is the supportive nature of the community and their passion for this great hobby.

Time to reveal my ONE LIE,

2- Had what might have been an out of body experience while waiting for a train in the NYC subway system...either that or it was the over the counter cough medicine I was taking.

A majoriy of those that voted (38.7%), believed this to be the lie. Actually, I think based on the flippant way I worded this statement, I tried to make it obvious that this was a true statement. I was headed home from work early, not feeling well, probably had the flu, no one else was in the station. I trully felt like I left my body while sitting on a bench waiting for the next train.

3- Met Bill Murray at the local gas station. He's a tall guy as compared to my 5' 6" height.

36.0% of those that voted, believed this to be the lie. Actually this is mostly true. I did run into him, and I did walk up to him and say "Hi" but I didn't jump out of my skin and say "Hey you're BILL MURRAY !".

1- Drove 5 test laps with Mario Andretti in a dual seater Indy racing car, reaching speeds of ~175 mph at the Brick Yard in Indianapolis as part of winning a FEDEX sponsored fan-based promotion.

29.3% of those that voted, believed this to be the lie. If you checked out my microbadges you will see that I am a fan of Indy Car Racing. Those familar with the sport would know that Fedex has been a sponsor of the series. It is also very commonly known that dual sitter cars exist for fans to experience the high speeds as co piloted by ex-champions of the sport. While I wish this was true....it is my lie. devil

Thanks to all that voted. thumbsup

Metoo.

But unlike you, I would've freaked out completely if I had run into Bill. Murray! Boy, I'm a little jealous now.

THANKblankYOU

Out of respect for the great global community here on BGG, I will be selecting a deserving geek from outside the US for my nominee. I am confident I have picked an excellent candidate, someone that is very dedicated in his/her contributions to this site. I am preparing the new GotW thread now and will be posting it shortly.whistle

(It may take a few hours to get the new thread pinned on the front page, so I will leave a link at the bottom of this thread when I am ready)

Thanks everyone for a great week. thumbsup

This has been an experience I will never forget. As I said before, its was great to interact with so many new and old friends this week. I really appreciate all the comments, questions, thumbs, and geekmail. I hope to maintain the new connections I have made going forward.
