Damn. I am sorry if I got anyone's hopes up or wasted people's time. It didn't occur to me that a chain like Target would do anything on a store-by-store basis.

There is another Target not too far away. As penance and to expand the data set, I'll try to run by there tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip and no need to apologize at all. If anyone was upset that you wasted their time, they would take the time to post and let you know.

Nothing on clearance at one local Target. I haven't had much luck with my local Targets participating in these clearances, but I'll keep checking.

The one on Mooney in Visalia didn't have any either, everything was still at the regular price.

My target happens to be going through a renovation as well but the games haven't changed price. However, a bunch of other bulk style household items were selling insanely cheap (3 boxes of toothpaste for 1.50, and my girlfriend bought an 8 pack of shaving razors for 3 dollars). I've been checking on the games weekly so hopefully something pops up now that they are about half way done with renovation.

Our Target did this about a year ago when they changed to the Marketplace format. They put tons of stuff -- games, housewares, clothes, sporting goods, electronics, personal care, etc. -- all on clearance. Then, when the renovation was done, they brought it all back at full price.

It was like they just didn't want to have to move it all and work around it so they clearanced it just to let someone else move it. If you happened to be there as the renovation was beginning, you got lucky, If not, oh well. Sounds like you got lucky at your Target.

Visited 2 Targets stores (Rancho Cucamonga and Upland, CA)

Same prices as before

Noticed 2 new games - Zooloretto and Struggles of Catan card game.

Both stores were sold out of Zooloretto, which is a bummer because that's the game I wanted.

I got to say I love the fact that Target is now selling decent games, it makes it so easy to hide my purchases from the wife!

Anyone have the DCPI/DPCI number for Zooloretto? Want to check on stock before I head out tonight and any time I call for stock they never know what I'm talking about.

I stopped by my local Target and picked up Eclipse for $17, Space Hulk (third edition) for $20, Dune for $10, and Dark Tower for $15.

Not too shabby.

The link you gave, that's not the Eclipse you're looking for (otherwise I think everyone would mob you). This Eclipse is the one you probably got.

There must have been a moment at the beginning, where we could have said no. Somehow we missed it. Well, we'll know better next time.

Although I heard about a crazy local B&N clearance sale where Eclipse was sold for not much more than that.

I didn't even know B&N carried Eclipse...ever. That's pretty cool.
I was lucky enough to snag my copy from Boards & Bits when they had them in stock for all of 5 minutes...

No clearance sales here - but everytime someone says Target is having a clearance, the ones around here aren't so I'm used to it

Did see the usual - Struggles for Catan, Settlers, Ticket to Ride, Deadwood, Rune Age, LOR, Munchkin...

Did not see Zooloretto or Dominion which some folks said they had seen on the shelves

Reporting in after a visit to the Target store on the north side (Stellhorn Road) of Fort Wayne, IN: No games of note on clearance. However, this location is now stocking (going by memory) Struggles for Catan, Settlers, Ticket to Ride, Rune Age, Munchkin, Lord of the Rings, and Zooleretto. I picked up Struggles on impulse for $15.

I spoke to a Target employee and he said in about a month the conversion of the store to the Marketplace format will be complete, and that it has already been completed at the other two stores in town. I will check out one of the already-converted stores next week.

I had the same things that Ed G. mentioned at the Target in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Regular prices.

It seemed like there was very little in Target was on clearance (or much sale) at all. Did not look like this one was undergoing a renovation.

Southeast, PA and our Target had all of the games previously mentioned, but not on sale. The Zooleretto shipment had come in, and I also saw they had Black Sheep which I had not seen in there before.

Checked the Target in Towson, MD (nephews love Settlers and I was having visions of birthday presents...). The only game on clearance was Dominion, 50% off. And they didn't have Struggles for Catan. They did have several copies of Zooloretto.

At the Target in Hadley, MA they are remodeling and had a number of games on clearance. Highlights included: Deadwood for $15, and Say Anything and Word on the Street for $12. There were also deals to be had on mass-market games and gaming accessories, but the selection was pretty limited. Zooloretto was there, but full-price.
