Well, I got pretty lucky on the weekend and found the time to play a bunch of games. To begin with I introduced my brother to Summoner Wars. After that we went to a friends house and played two games of Pandemic, one game of Forbidden Island and one game of Letters from Whitechapel. All three games - Pandemic, Forbidden Island and Letters from Whitechapel were all new to me. (I was so taken with Pandemic that I ended up buying a copy today)

The next day my brother and I played two more games of Summoner Wars and that ended my weekend of gaming.

Not masses for me this weekend as the usual games evening was replaced with a cinema visit, but we spent Friday evening finishing up our first game of Arkham Horror (which we started on Thursday) - awesome game, straight to my favourites list.

On Sunday we had a good few games of Lost Cities (scores varying wildly), a couple of Hive and lots of Carcassonne. My better half really likes that one, I think I'll be picking up Inns & Cathedrals before anything new again.

Played a lot of games!

51st State - Warming to this with second play
Regnum Potestas Gloria - Playtest of a friend's game. Neat stuff!
Race for the Galaxy - Played with a newbie. It's amazing how fluid the game becomes with repeated play.
Agricola - Barely won against a first time player. Yeowch.
No Thanks! - It is what it is. Good for a few giggles.
For Sale - Always good.
Chronology Junior - Pretty much the same as the "adult" version
Ora et Labora - 2 player long - and it is pretty long!

We were able to get my fist 4 player game of Ticket to Ride in on Sunday. Me, my wife, mother in law and friend, gave it a go with my friend winning 140 (friend) - 110 (me) - 87 (wife) - 66 (mother in law). He was lucky enough to get some west coast routes that all ended up using the same hubs. I had picked up some routes throughout the center of the board but those were not enough to make up for the longer west coast routes.

What especially caught my attention was my wife at one point saying "Oooh, I like this game better this way!".

Overall good times.

I suppose Dominion on the iOS counts? If so, then chalk up another 6-8 games as we had to commute into Manhattan on two separate occasions.

My girlfriend and I played 2 games of Alhambra, which I got her for Valentine's day as a replacement for the copy of Pandemic: On the Brink I originally got her. Dirk beat us once, and she beat me once.

We also played one game of Pandemic: On the Brink (The copy she got me for Valentine's day). We lost on Heroic level, but to our credit, we lost by running out of player cards to draw. The Containment Specialist/Medic Combo is pretty sweet.

She also gave me a (months early) birthday present of Battlestar Galactica: Pegasus Expansion and Battlestar Galactica: Exodus Expansion that she got used for the price of one expansion! I might be playing Pegasus this weekend at our Board Game group (BoGA)'s meeting on Saturday!

Only got to play one game head-to-head this weekend: another game of Power Grid, this time on the Italy map, using the Robots expansion again. The Robot got a pretty powerful 'program', which gave it 100 Elektro at the start of the game and the will to max-buy resources every other turn.

We found ourselves desperately low on resources by the end of the game. I managed to vindicate myself of last week's loss by keeping 20 cities powered after securing 21.

And I was stuck overnight in Kamloops on Friday due to inclement weather, and played about 50 games of Ticket to Ride Pocket on my iPad. Managed a top score of 241 pts.

Had a good gaming weekend overall.

Friday night, played Nations for the first time. Had a horrible teacher and messed up four major rules, but it intrigued me enough to want to play it again and play it right this time.

Then yesterday, played some games with my wife.

I played Castles of Mad King Ludwig for the first time, bought mainly because of the designer and our love of Suburbia. It went over very well. We played it twice.

Finished it off with three games of Legendary.

First, we faced off against Loki who wanted to unite the Infinity Stone. The wife won that game rather handily.

Then Mr. Sinister unleashed the clone saga on us. We had a great series of cards that comboed well, but every time we got a good hand, the scheme twist hit and made us discard down to three. We lost badly.

Finally, the Kree Supreme Intelligence wanted to Invade the Daily Bugle (I have no idea why...maybe he was bored?). I managed to pull this one out, though it looked dicey at first because one of the villain groups was the Heralds of Galactus and four of them (two copies of two each) came out in the first few draws, before we had any cards built up to take advantage of Cosmic Threat.

Definitely a good weekend.
