Francisco,

I'm assuming that you ordered using a credit card? If so see if you can contact your credit card company and do a chargeback. Most of the time credit card companies will take your side.

I've tried using CCG Armory in the past twice and I've had less than good experiences. Don't use them.

If Francisco used Paypal he won't get his money back. You have 45 days to reclaim your money and he is probably already over this limit after one month "communicating" with cgga and at least two weeks shipping to Spain.

The same happend to me, you can read the story on page one of this thread.

Don't use ccga, if you have already ordered and paid: Good luck!

Sorry, but CCG Armory does not deserve the 8.38/10 at http://www.resellerratings.com/store/CCG_Armory.

Advice to all who suffer in limbo at the hands of the notorious CCG Armory: I just resolved my first (and last) problem with these jokers. I ordered an item a few weeks ago. Nothing. No updates. No response to email (even when it cited the complaints in this forum). This morning I canceled my order and demanded a response within 72 hours or I would take our collective experiences to the Attorney General for Massachusetts. I got a response literally within 30 seconds. We then had a back and forth of denial and haughty defensiveness that he ever received emails from me, yet claiming he sent responses to the emails he never got (!!!!) which of course I never received. When he started ranting about how he was an "elite merchant," I offered to challenge that status with my documentation and he promptly shut up and canceled my order.
The take home lesson folks: Skip to the chase if you are so foolish as to place an order with them. Refer to the Attorneys General for your states and to Yahoo's Elite Merchant system (and be prepared to follow through on it, as I was) and get your issues resolved in a very timely manner.
Good luck everyone!

I am in the midst of own little drama with them, but its only been a couple weeks. I should have known there was going to be an issue when I bought the book on the 11th of September, and they only got around to charging my card on the 15th. A few days ago, after I noticed that the USPS tracking number they gave me still shows the item not having been picked up for delivery, I contacted them. I received a reply pretty quick stating they'd put another copy in the mail. I responded as to what shipping method they'd use. So far, no reply for the last 2 days. I IM'd them and sent them another email today stating the same issues, but still no reply.

So, I went and checked the Maryland BBB site for them, and it was not exactly glowing. Figures.

Ok, I finally got my item, via Media Mail, which I got within 2 days of pickup, but still 2 weeks late. I'm not entirely happy, since the book looks either used or mistreated, since the corners of the covers are curled over (knurled?).

My own imaginary scenario: I order book, but they don't have it in stock. The price was such that it couldn't be ordered new from the publisher, or their distributor is able to get it seriously marked down. So, they either order it from their distributor like a store would, or they get it via eBay or some other source. When it arrives, they send it to me. What I'm curious about: why pull a mailing label when they don't have the item? If so, why advertise they have something when they don't?

It's not the lying that puzzles me, it is just that this seems to be so much extra work for an item with a VERY slim profit margin that it would actually cost more in labor to operate a business in this way.

They gave me a free shipping coupon for my next order, but I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

I really wish I had saw this thread before I placed my order last night. I'm going through the same ordeal as most are here and it's only been about 26 hours since I ordered. I did manage to get someone on the phone and was told something about checking in "the warehouse" to see what's going on. I then called an hour later - no answer on the phone, no reply to email, no checkup correspondence as he offered.

There is no excuse for posting items for sale when they aren't in stock and nowhere to be found. I've gone through this before with people and have had two "businesses" shut down completely in the past for doing much the same thing. When you pay for shipping, the parcel should arrive within that allocated time period; not two months after ordering. That is fraud.

I will be aggressively pursuing this matter until a resolve is reached in my favor. Meanwhile, I will give them until 5pm EST to at least contact me with their intentions. Otherwise, I will be throwing the book at this place like the last two hack shops I sank.

Update1: Upon doing a Google search for a business address, I did indeed find where the place exists; in the middle on an undeveloped golf course lot. I suppose the "warehouse" is underground in a dirt field nearby under someone's house. Not looking good the more I look into this mess.

Another negative experience--ordered an item they listed as in stock and paid for it.
Inquired two days later why it had not shipped. Was told they did not have it and would have to be back-ordered.
I asked them why the item was listed if they did not actually have it in stock, (need for a gift so timing was tight) -- they immediately refunded my money and suggested I buy it elsewhere.

I would not recommend them--at best they are disorganized and at worst they could be considered unethical.

Not to defend them in any way, but the Better Business Bureau of Maryland (http://www.bbb.org/greater-maryland/business-reviews/interne...) shows them at 2400 Boston St Ste 407, Baltimore, MD 21224-4787

The Short: My impression is that the CCG Armory site isn't professional, and seems to be a business ran as an afterthought. Expect to have problems.

The Long: I have ordered from this company 2 times in two years. The number of problems I have had:4. Each order I made was delayed several weeks with no indication of status or problem. When I finally contacted CCG Armory they would offer to make things right. However they would still screw up by offering a substitution and then ask for more $ after it was agreed upon or by not shipping the full order.

Based on my Experience
Pros:
*Sometimes they have a good sale price.

Cons:
*Frequently sells items they don't have in stock
*If order can't be filled CCG Armory doesn't immediately offer a refund or even contact you.
*Ignores sending out shipments in a timely manner
*When messaging CCG about problems expect delays in responses.

Pretty much my exact thoughts - it's just a side business.

Just went threw something with them literally this past week. Nothing 'bad', actually made me laugh. Not angry at them or anything. I'm used the 'on the side' ebusinesses of the 90s I guess.

I ordered something a week ago, chose the extra UPS shipping because I wanted to get the game by this Friday for my friends birthday. I get charged and notice my status changes to 'Being Packed for shipment'. I figure I'm in the clear because everyone says it just takes ages for them to update from 'Processing' to the shipment stage. WRONG. After 1 week it was still being packaged.

I emailed them a nice email, I wasn't upset or anything, just more of a 'Hey buddy whats going on? Any way I can help out?', and the last line I mentioned how I'm 1 hour away from Baltimore and can just swing by and pick up the game whenever... Within hours my bank statement updates saying I've been refunded the money and no contact back from CCG Armory. I just laughed and ordered the game from Amazon using next day shipping. Came out to be about the same price.

Another vote for "NO!" - CCG Armory is NOT reliable.

Placed an order on Monday (2 games) standard shipping. As of Thursday, no order update. Called yesterday to see if my order was even being processed. I got "Sure, no problems - sometimes the website takes some time to update - especially on orders coming direct from our 'warehouse'".

Today I get an email, stating that I had "not responded to an email telling me one of the games was out of stock". Except that I have been checking my email and span folder regularly just to make sure that something hadn't come up.

Not only are my games not on the way, they weren't even processed yet (almost a week later) - and on top of that, the jokers at CCG are now trying to imply that I missed and email.

Ironically, I had placed an order for my kids on some stuff that they had asked for, but didn't get for Christmas on Monday as well (from Amazon - using free Super Saver shipping - which is supposed to take longer). It got here yesterday - the same day I had to call CCG to see what was going on.

Poor customer service and poor communication. I have order games from ThoughtHammer, Funagain and Boards and Bits - and will do so again - but NEVER from CCG Jokery.

I ordered some miniatures from CCG Armory. After a couple of weeks, I finally contacted someone who said that some items weren't in stock. I asked for a refund for those specific items. The order supposedly shipped, but nothing had arrived after waiting another couple of weeks. The company claimed that a new package would ship within a few days. A box finally arrived 2 months after placing the order. Unfortunately, four items were missing. I once again contacted the company and didn't hear anything for another 4 days, at which point I asked for a refund. They gave me a coupon for free shipping on a future order. Their customer service was slow and I suspect that some of their responses were inaccurate. Items listed on the site should have been in stock. Shipping was exceptionally slow. I do not recommend this company.

For what it's worth this is my only experience with CCG Armory. Last week I contacted them via email to ask if they had Eclipse in stock. They responded within 2 hours and said they had 1 left. I took a chance and ordered with Paypal.

When I placed my order in the notes section I requested a refund if they didn't have Eclipse in stock, having already read the negative things in threads like this one. I took a chance.

Five days later I got a refund, no email, and no Eclipse, but at least I got a refund.

I am currently having a terrible time wiht CCG Armory.

To give context, here is a portion of the report I filed to Paypal, IC3.gov and Attorney General of Maryland:

"I placed an order on the CCGArmory.com website on Jan 10, 2012 for a series of items. Order #99877

On Jan 19, 2012 I received a package with only one of the items I had ordered.

On Jan 22, 2012 I sent an email to CCGarmory asking about the other items. They are claiming that all items were in the box which was shipped to me.

There is a great deal of evidence which does not support their claim:

First, the tracking numbers: I was sent two invoices through email. The item I received has a tracking number on the invoice of 1Z14YV020390608293- this is a UPS number. However, every other item on the list had a tracking number of 9405510200830271124008- this is a US postal service number.

Second, the physical invoice which came with the package has the same numbers as above- one for the item I received and another for all the other items. Additionally, the items with the different tracking number had all been scratched out with pen- as if they were not to be included in the box which was sent to me.

Third, I have an email from the company telling me that the items would be shipped seperately. How can they say that the items were in the same box when in the email they state that the items would be shipped seperately?

I received a large brown cardboard box from UPS on Friday Jan 19, 2012 at about 4:00pm. The box was labelled as being sent from CCGArmory. Inside the box was only one of the items I had ordered."

The report goes on... suffice to say, CCG Armory is doing its best to make me look like a liar to Paypal. They are offering me a refund, but I purchased the items on sale- so there is little chance of me getting as good a deal elsewhere. Frankly, I feel that the deal was so good that they simply do not wish to fulfill the order. It's not a loss if they simply refund the money. So, in a malicious sense, it's a good business decision for them to NOT send me the models.

Regardless, in the strongest possible terms, I recommend avoiding CCG Armory. I just want them to ship the models I paid for- after that I will never do business with them again.

Again, IMHO CCGArmory advertises a good deal, gets the sale, then combs ebay for a product, meanwhile printing a bogus shipping label to calm your fears. Then a couple weeks later, after you've complained, a partial order shows up, with a different label. etc....

Whee!

with so many other respectable online gaming retailers, why do people keep ordering from this company?

are the so called "deals" really that good to pass up?

Easily one of the worst online merchants I've ever dealt with.

I wish I had seen this thread a few weeks ago. In short, the selection and low prices on miniatures pulled me in. I put in an order and pretty much the same thing happened that others have mentioned: Nothing for weeks. Also, I love how the order staus link in the confirmation email takes you to a page that has NO information about the order status.

I finally call, and it's "oh this item is out of stock, you should have received an email." Well, I didn't. I ask them to cancel that item and fulfill the rest and the guy on the phone says sure no problem. Later I see my entire payment refunded and the order cancelled. At least I got my money back.

Lesson learned - deal with reputable merchants, and research unknown ones extensively first.

Screw this outfit. Their customer service is a joke and they/he obviously care nothing for the customer's interests.

I am in the process of getting burned right now. I ordered an item that lo and behold they did not have. Then they asked is I still wanted the other accessories that amounted to less than a tenth of my order at a price of $3.99. I asked if the accessories and the shipping would be $3.99. And they answered yes. Now they are charging 13 plus dollars and I have not received my refund for $209, and they are not answering the customer service hotline.

I will dispute this, because luckily it was purchased with Visa. The first time with any retailer should be through Visa, so at least if everything goes badly you can dispute the charges.

I should have read the forums before I ordered. I ordered an item that the website stated was in stock. In fact it had a large red box stating that it was in stock. But it wasn't. After a week I checked on my order through their Yahoo! store website and it said that they need more info. I contacted them and they informed me that they were out of stock and needed to know if I wanted to substitute or get a refund. They said that they had sent me an email but I didn't receive one, even checked my spam folder. After reading the forum, it seems that I'm not the only one that mysteriously doesn't receive their emails. I did get my refund though.

I won't be using them again. I don't mind out of stock or even a little slow shipping but having a website that states something is in stock when it isn't and then not sending an email is bad business and it wastes my time. I've gathered from a few sites that this is an all too frequent experience with CCG Armory.

Items not in stock, no replies, and so on... still waiting for the order. It is pity than this shop was first in the line, will not order again by all means.

OK, now I have got the message that they were just ready to ship the order but they understand that I have opened the dispute so they have to cancel the order. That is just way too funny, what kind of shop it is??
Needless to say that from my side there was now any dispute, just polite and patient question "when will the order be shipped", without any reply from their side.
