A review of several powerful Quest sequences
After just one play of Lords of Waterdeep, you can begin to see some combos among the quest cards. Sequencing your quests and acquiring ones that fit that sequence is one key path to victory. Here are a handful of helpful quest combos

1.

Perfect for the Arcana and Skullduggary Lord, these cards make use of a primary Plot Quest, "Place a Sleeper Agent in Skullport", which gives you 2 points every time you play an intrigue card. The subsequent quests all give you intrigue cards to keep your intrigue pile fully stocked.

2.

The Commerce and Skullduggary Lord can be quite powerful, especially in you set up this quest combo. If you can get your hands on the "Establish Shadow Thieves Guild" card, resist holing up and just collecting rogues. Rather, you want to collect quests that allow you to earn points (and point from your Lord) that also give you rogues to complete your "Shadow Thieves" quest.

3.

Similar to the rogue strategy above but for Warfare lords, this allows you to collect plenty of points and Fighters en route to completing a big 25 point quest.

4.

Another strong combo for Commerce and Skullduggary Lords, this one capitalizes on the Plot Quest "Infiltrate Builders Hall", which gives you 4 points every time you build a building. You'll want to complete this quest first, and collect subsequent quests that give you not only points but money with which to build buildings. You will want one of your final quests to be "Establish Harpers Safe House", which gives you another 2 points for every building you control. This combo is pretty much unbeatable if you also have the Building Lord, which gives you 6 points for each building you have built.

These are just a few of the possible Quest combinations to look out for. I will develop a future post that links these quest combinations to useful buildings and intrigue cards.

The pictures are just posted to this thread, for the purpose of this post. I tried my best to make the infinitely small text legible, but hopefully you still found the post useful.

They are in his personal image gallery. No geek mod required to put images there.

This is interesting stuff. Can I have your permission to add some of your insights to this Lords of Waterdeep Strategy Wiki I'm building?

Absolutely! Thanks for the link to the Wiki, it seems like it will be a very useful resource.
