The Mill (also called Nine Men's Morris) dates back to Rome circa 600 BC. It is an abstract strategy game that combines Go and Tic-Tac-Toe. And although it is simple to learn it takes time to master.

Got some time to kill? Want to play a board game but there is no one to play with? Here is a list of games for you to try out. Some of the games on this list are co-ops or variants, official and fan-made. But if the solo experience is fun and worthwhile (and I have played it), I have considered it for this list.

Rallyman simulates a rally race on asphalt or snow. You must drive aggressively and push your car and your luck to the limits. Push things too much and you’ll damage your car. Don’t push hard enough and you won’t win the race.

Mundus Novus is a card game themed around trading goods in the New World. In fact Mundus Novus is Latin for New World. You must earn 75 doubloons before your opponents or hold one of each resource to win.

Venture Forth is a unique game with a fantasy theme. It is part dungeon crawl, part resource and hand management and it all adds up to a lot of fun. You’ll need to outsmart and out plan your opponents plus get a bit lucky to win this game.

http://www.play-board-games.com/venture-forth-review/

Labyrinth: The War on Terror, 2001-? is a solo or two-player strategy war game that simulates the War on Terror. Given the sensitivity of this theme, GMT has done a great job implementing this game. You can decide if it is a game for you and I hope this review helps.
