June 19th, 2012

One more week and we will have completed four years of TEG. I've gotta work up some stats for the year. Whoo! Anyways, Timm stopped by early so we could squeeze a game of Crokinole (and Crokinole Middle) in. This was the first game that we started tracking stats. No, not wins and losses. But we are tracking shots at the hole and how well we are hitting. Every clear shot to the hole (no other color biscuits on the board) is recorded, 20's, 15's, misses. Should be interesting and give insight on improvements. Because we got to a late start, we didn't finish the game. The recording part took a little time, but it will be second nature the more I do this.

Oh yeah, we have whipped up a stat sheet for a game for easy tracking. I'll upload that next week.

Chris and Aaron arrived so we started out with Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre again. I don't know, I do dig this game. It was brutal and fast. I ripped out some awesome spells to devastate the competetion and was last wizard standing twice. Both Timm and Chris were standing once (we played four rounds). Yep, I do like this much better than King of Tokyo as a starter or finisher for an evening.

Dominion along with Intrigue and Seaside was next. We always go random, digging the packs of cards from the box. Both games that we played had no extra buys and was fairly low scoring. The Witch was in play on one of them. First game, Timm with 33, Chris had 31, I had 24 and Aaron had 14. Second game, Chris with 32, Timm with 30, I had 25 and Aaron had 24.

Next up was more cards. Condottiere was the choice. A Tuesday staple. We had some good table talk going in this session. It was also a pretty quick game, clocking in at about 40 minutes. Timm ended up with the win as he depeleted Chris to win his third touching area. I have the beautiful second version and playing with those cards is always a treat.

Aaron had to leave in a little bit so we played once more quick game... TransAmerica. An oldie (wow, out over 10 years now), quick filler. The game went three rounds. I managed to finish first in the first two rounds, pushing everyone down the track, but in the third round, Chris went out and won the game as everyone was far away from their last spot or two. Chris ended with 7, Aaron and I each had 3, Timm had 0.

Methinks next week might be a deeper game night. It's been awhile. End the GameYear off with a bang.
