Christmas Eve Eve. Today we did a lot of family activities, such as constructing a gingerbread train, and baking goodies. We also started a puzzle, which we usually do over Christmas. But we also had time for a game, and I chose Samurai.
This is the 5th recorded play (many, many more plays not recorded) of a game that I rate 10.
Since the kids had only played once, we went with the random draw for the start. What a change that makes. None of my really good tiles came out for a while, which lead to a really slow start for me.
Melissa was chugging along nicely as was Daughter. Son and I tied on a couple of figures. Daughter was able to snatch a couple of figures away from Son, effectively eliminating him. Melissa and Daughter seemed to be leading and when the last Helmet was drawn, ending the game, that proved to be the case.
Daughter led in rice fields, but Melissa captured the most Buddhas and Helmets for the victory.
