This is my personal gaming blog. To give you an idea of my taste in games, I offer this quote: "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." -- Antoine de Saint-Exuper The blog will probably be mostly gaming projects, mathematical analysis, and reviews of game designs (the blog title is taken from my very intermittant review series). While I do dabble in design, I admit I'm one of those people who gets distracted with real life or another game and never gets things out of the door.

A while back I posted that had I brushed off my Discworld Dominion retheme project, and that my goal was to expand it to include Dominion, Dominion: Intrigue, Dominion: Seaside, Dominion: Alchemy, Dominion: Prosperity, and the three promo cards. I'm happy to announce names have been chosen for the 124 different cards, and I'm pretty pleased with most of them. You can find version 1.9 here. Any and all comments and tweaks by Discworld fans are welcome.

And I really would like feedback before I get too far into the next step, which is to do the layout and image editing to turn these into cards. As a preview, this is the new card back:

Very cool, but you say in your comments "The stories tend to focus on towns and cities rather than fi efdoms and such" but what about Sto Helit? Surely there is scope for making the Duke card into the Duke of Sto Helit and maybe have Susan as the treasury card, doing useful stuff until the callings of being the Duchess of Sto Helit drag her back to reality.

It's a fair point. My impression was that Sto Helit was a city-state along the lines of Ankh-Morpork, hence them being referred to collectively as "the cities of the Sto Plains." And while the Duchess of Sto Helit rules over the city and its surround cabbage fields, when people say "Sto Helit," they refer to the city. When Moist delivered mail to Sto Lat, he dropped them off in the city center. Leonard of Quirm is from a noble house of that city.

I can see Ramtops / Duke being renamed to the Sto Plains, but I'm not sure what Susan has to do with Treasury.

Oh, sod it. I forgot about a drawing Paul Kidby did of the Lancre Morris Men. There may be some alterations to card list.

Still soliciting feedback.

My first thought was "I wonder if you have brought Luggage into this and that Native Village would be a great one to match it to"

And you are way way way waaaaaay ahead of me!

A great project here and will look to see if I can add any worthwhile comments

The first version of the retheme had The Luggage as Trading Post: eat 2 cards, gives you a Silver. And since it must eat 2 cards from your hand to get that Silver, it'll probably eat something you don't want it to. But I like where it is now, eating a random card from your deck.
