Shenandoah Studio Announces Drive on Moscow
We're not sure what's in the water over at Shenandoah Studio, but we're glad everyone over there is drinking it. After announcing the follow-up to their acclaimed original game, Battle of the Bulge, El Alamein, they surprised everyone when they announced another game in the works, Gettysburg: The Tide Turns.
Well, they're doing it again. They just announced Drive on Moscow which allows players to play as the German or Soviet armies in the Battle of Moscow in the winter of 1941-42. This one is designed by Ted Raicer and promises to have all the hallmarks we've come to expect from Shenandoah, such as great UI and historical flourishes packed in.
Here's what we've been told:Shenandoah Studio wrote:-Multiple scenarios ranging from the full conflict to smaller operations
-The ability to play as both the Soviets and Germans
-A changing map based on weather conditions
-The ability to play games against AI, Face to Face, and online
-New Units and defensive fortifications
-The latest Game Center features
-Game designed by Ted Raicer, designer of Paths of Glory
-Historical commentary and photos throughout the app
Brad has also mentioned that Drive on Moscow will have a new changing weather mechanic as well as new units to command. Drive on Moscow should be released this Fall, and Brad tells us that Moscow is coming before El Alamein in the schedule. El Alamein is still being worked on but has taken time in play-testing to ensure it is a fun game for both sides. While this testing continues, Moscow has been able to fill in the development time. El Alamein is still expected this fall.
Warhammer Quest Getting New Content
I was going to post this in a prior news post, but it totally slipped through the cracks. Sorry! Rodeo Games, the chaps behind the rather brilliant port of Warhammer Quest, have announced some new content for the game coming next month. We don't know much about it, yet, but it's called The Brutal Tribe and will bring new stuff (heroes, monsters, etc.) as well as an increased level cap to the app. Not bad. We'll let you know if/when we find out more. Warhammer Quest is for iOS Universal, costs $4.99USD and can be downloaded from the App Store.
