• BGB Volume 91 - Eurogames for the iPhone and iPad, Part 2 - May 10 Boardgame Babylon, the excellent board game podcast, has posted a Podcast on Eurogames for the iPhone and iPad. Games covered include: Carcassonne, Kingsburg, Wabash Cannonball, Reiner Knizia's Labyrinth, and Boggle. This episode is labeled as Part 2 because the first part was a podcast done about a year ago with BGB Volume 80.
• Bohnanza Released - May 11 Years before he made his mark with the Harvest Trilogy, Uwe Rosenberg was mainly known for his simple yet crowd-pleasing bean-trading card game Bohnanza. Now AMIGO Spiel + Freizeit GmbH working with app developer Aspirement has released this modern classic for both iPhone (Bohnanza/$3.99) and iPad (Bohnanza HD/$4.99).

First Screenshot from Outwitters • One Man Left Working on Outwitters - May 11 One Man Left Studios, the makers of Tilt to Live, are working on a born digital "multiplayer-focused, turn-based strategy game for everyone" called Outwitters. That last part about "everyone" might perhaps turn off hardcore board gamers, but it's this line,
One Man Left wrote: "Turn-based meaning you can play a match all in one sitting, or back and forth at your convenience like Words with Friends."
...that has also piqued my interest. And apparently they got the asynchronous play working last week. Nice to hear that it's being considered from the ground up (not tacked on after release).
Also, the first screenshot posted has got me thinking of some comparisons. Some are comparing it to Neuroshima Hex, but the description and screenshot has got me thinking more along the lines of Nexus Ops. At this point, who really knows? It seems that even the guys at OML are still tweaking gameplay and rules. Lastly, the folks at TouchArcade.com are saying that this will release later this year at an unannounced price.
