Bobby's Games

I will be posting monthly recaps of my gaming which I have been doing in GeekLists. I'll also be commenting on games on occasion, though I can tell you that I will be behind the curve because I just don't get to play the new games as soon as some people do.

I'm a little late getting this posted this week.

We did get to play a five-player game of Notre Dame and I had the best luck keeping my rats in check.

This weekend I am going to try and get Vikings to the table. I really like the design of the wheel which has the cost for a tile and a Viking.

I've never played the advanced game because the basic game is fun and challenging enough for me.

One of the interesting things with Notre Dame is that it isn't always the best to be the one keeping the rats in check. One complaint is that letting the rats run a bit rampant can be a viable and effective strategy.

I've seen the ignoring the rats strategy fail more often than win. Heck, it was an early strategy someone tried before the game was even published here. I don't recall ever trying it, so maybe I should sometime? The t rock is playing it more often than once a year.
