Fantasy Flight Games to Update Elder Sign: Omens
Late last week Fantasy Flight Games posted news on their site announcing an update for Elder Sign: Omens. According to FFG the version 1.1 update will include new gameplay options and a streamlined user experience for each of its three platforms. The update also includes a new campaign against Yig and access to new monsters and adventures. The app will offer an In-App Purchase for the first time in the form of a campaign named "The Call of Cthulhu". Each new campaign features new unlockable investigators as well. Civil War - the Battle of Fredericksburg Changes Name
We recently told you about an upcoming wargame app by The Bitstreamers called Civil War - the Battle of Fredericksburg. We've been tracking their progress on TouchArcade and their blog. Now The BitStreamers have decided to add two additional battles to the game. So besides Fredericksburg the initial release will now include scenarios at Brandy Station and Chickamauga as well to improve the replay value of the game. Because of this they've now changed the name to to Civil War The Battle Game.
Draw Something Update Coming
Besides getting bought by Zynga, OMGPOP has also been working on an update to Draw Something, the popular draw-and-guess app. The new update will include Twitter, Facebook, and photo library sharing of drawings, notifications for Android, increase of the max streak to 999, pull-down refresh status, Undo for last brush stroke and many other fixes and tweaks. Reiner Knizia's Deck Buster Released
Aidem Media has released the latest Knizia puzzler. This one is called Reiner Knizia's Deck Buster and is for iOS Universal as well as Android, Mac, and PC. It appears to combine elements of card games with logic challenges that has you making combinations based on Poker hands to score points. You can check it out on the App Store.
Glitch Tank Updated
We missed this one when it released around the holidays. Developer Michael Brough brings you this digital board game that's partly inspired by Robo Rally and share's its card/register planning mechanic. In Glitch Tank you draw cards and play them as best you can to try to destroy your opponent's tank. This trippy little app features both turn-based and realtime modes where things are supposed to turn into fast chaotic screen-filling nonsense. We're not yet sure what the version 3 update features, we only know that it says DOMAIN ERROR. Weird. Check it out on the App Store.
Operation: Eradicate Updated
Skejo Studios has updated its cooperative turn-based strategy app to version 1.1.1 with Retina display graphics for the new iPad, a turns remaining counter, better map button detection zones, and other fixes. You can check it out on the App Store.
Clara Board Game Now Free
This born-digital abstract strategy game in the Clara Board Game app for iPad is similar to Hex or Twixt. RANKA, the developer has dropped the price to free from $0.99. You can download it from the App Store.
Oski HD Now Free
Another iPad app by RANKA has been also been dropped from $0.99 to free. Oski HD is a simple word game played for two players played on a hex board with nineteen fields and lasts for sixteen turns. You can check it out on the App Store.
