SOLO, CO-OP & PVP Modes
When attempting to make the greatest game in the world, (at least the greatest in the genre of spellcasting card games that use a real functioning language & have big leather spellbooks…) we couldnt settle for just a Cooperative game or just a Competitive game. So we included them both, and added a Solo component on top. PLAY how YOU want to Play. Decimate your opponents, Bond with your allies, Go ‘Lone Mage’ down the corridors of time.
SKILL BASED MAGICK CASTING
Incantations are verbally spoken in the language of Serpent’s Tongue, which is a bastardized form of the Adam’ic language of creation. The activation words can either be memorized like a traditional mage, or decoded on the fly using the Serpent’s Key. Spoken incorrectly the spell is a failure, and its energy is harvested by other players. So learn your codex well Speaker!
FAST & FURIOUS TEAMWORK
Magi grow stronger when working with others by Ritualizing the incantations of their allies and transmuting them into more poweful versions of themselves. The game flows through a series of rounds but future turns may be drawn upon earlier, at any time, to interrupt or augment the casting of others. This can be necessary to succeed in Player vs Player Battle and Cooperative Encounters..
Collect and invest RESONANCE to unlock more powerful abilities in your SPECIALIZATION, allowing you to respond, on-the-fly to your opponent’s strategies, strengths and weaknesses. During CO-OP campaigns MAGI spend RESONANCE on more powerful / varied incantations, rare artifacts, to influence team decisions, and acquire insight into puzzles and more.
