Print the map double-sided. At the start of the game, the Arctic map will be on the pre-warming side. Once the Arctic Warming Command Card is played, flip the Arctic board to the post-warming side and add the additional Water Territory cards to the Water Territory deck.

This Word document contains all of the rules for playing the game with the recommended 3 or more players as outlined in the Official Rules booklet. The rules for a 2-player game are not included in this document but are contained in the official rule booklet that comes with the game. This document does not discuss how Risk-style combat works: it is assumed that the reader has played a game of regular RISK before.

Commanders 2.5 Expansion v 1.1 Rules and FAQ

Here's an updated FAQ and Rules for the Commanders 2.5 expansion for Risk 2210. The cards themselves are still too large to be hosted here (26 MB), so they can be downloaded via this link:

Included in this expansion are:
• An upgraded official (Avalon Hill) Tech Commander expansion (new backs and graphics, 20 cards)
• An upgraded official six Major cards expansion (new graphics, 6 cards)
• The official 6 factions plus 3 additional factions from Geoff (new backs and icons, some rules clarifications, 9 cards)
• An upgraded Commanders 2.0 expansion. Added new graphics, rules tweaks and spelling fixes for existing cards plus many totally new cards (87 cards).
• Advanced Tech cards with backs, some with new graphics and rules clarifications...
