A straightforward game of cargo shipping, reminiscent of crayon rails. You own ships and move them about the map, buying and delivering cargo. Ships come in several types: General Cargo, Refrigerated Cargo, Tanker and Bulk Carrier, forcing you to match cargo type and ship type unless you're willing to pay the penalties. You can own multiple ships, but will a new ship be amortized before the game ends?
Added rules for moving from sail to steam-assisted sailing ships. Also, rules for moving from that to fully steam and then on to contemporary ships...in one game.
I have added rules for bidding on cargoes in a solitaire game.
For more realism, and especially for solitaire play, this addendum gives you captains, officers, and crew. Each can be experienced, inexperienced, or troublesome. These attributes can cause delays in port and/or in sailing times.
There is also a time measure of 1 week per MP in game.
