A groundbreaking board game of armored warfare on the Eastern Front in World War II.
The game is tactical scale (company/platoon sized units) with geomorphic map boards. The counters are 5/8' and were very striking for their time.
A stand-alone follow up game, Panzer Leader , was set on the Western Front. Although it introduced a revised rules system, Panzer Leader used geomorphic map boards that were compatible with those used in Panzerblitz.
The second direct descendant of Panzerblitz was 'Arab-Israeli Wars ', which involved modern armored combat in the Middle East.
Panzerblitz: Hill of Death was released in 2009. It is only related to the original Panzerblitz by way of name, scale (tactical), and general topic (World War II armored warfare, albeit on the Western Front). PB:HOD is not a redesign or expansion of the original game.
Avalon Hill Complexity Rating for Panzerblitz: 6
From "The Avalon Hill General Index and Company History, 1952-1980"

The revision notice can be found in red on the LOS example card.

New BPV for DYO Scenarios
This is an extension of the systems originally created by Tom Oleson and Robert Chiang for DYO scenario generation for PB and PL. It allows for greater variety in unit types and addresses shortcomings in Mr. Chiang's system for PL.
Charts are included covering BPV ratings for the original units in each game as well as all additional and updated units on the Imaginative Strategist and Gregpanzerblitz sites.

Leaders for PanzerBlitz and Panzer Leader
A rules variant adding leader units to the PB/PL games. The variant describes leader attributes, how they can be used in combat, and how to configure them. Also mentioned are a couple of URLs: to the Junior General site for counter art files, and the Zhodani Base site which has a nice counter creation tool. Four .gif files provide example counters generated using the above tool.

Maginot Line Scenario
Everything you'll need but the map to play an historic encounter between the Germans and French at the Maginot Line. This scenario is copyrighted by Greg Moore of gregpanzerblitz.com. He's got a whole slew of great scenarios there; this is the first I've printed and tried and I wanted to share it.
