Description Edit | History

Truchet is an abstract strategy game for two players based on a novel tiling of the plane with single type of two sided tile, which results in a variable pattern of rivers and islands which constitute the board. During play, tiles can be flipped which reconfigures the
connectivity of dark and light areas of the board. The standard board size is 7x7.

Each player starts with 12 stackable markers, which can either move along a river, join to form new stacks, or split stacks into multiple smaller pieces. Capturing is by direct replacement. The goal of the game is to capture all of the opponents pieces.
