Description Edit | History

Rails of Europe is an expansion for Railways of the World. Glenn Drover, one of the two designers of the original game, has designed a European setting for the expansion, which uses the original game's pieces, tiles, money, trains, shares and rules, along with a new map and card deck. There are some rules changed and added for the expansion to reflect the new setting of the expansion.

Due to the complicated corporate history of Eagle Games, this expansion is unusual - it is an official, yet unlicensed expansion. It is official, since the designer of the original game also designed this expansion and it will be published by a company that is a descendant (of sorts) of Eagle Games. The expansion is unlicensed because it will not bear the Railroad Tycoon name, which was licensed from Sid Meier's computer game.

3 Rails of Europe Scorecard
Version 1.1 with minor corrections. Inspired by Michael Langford's Railroad Tycoon scorecard available here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/file/info/16686 An updated scorecard to represent the revised scoring track for the Rails of Europe expansion. Print out the scorecard to track players' scores and income with pen and paper while playing. No more inability to see income values covered up by locomotive markers, or trying to reconstruct everyone's scores after an unfortunate board bumping.

1 Rails of Europe Game 1 by Cyberboard Referee.gam file
This was likely the first completed game by Cyberboard for Rails of Europe. It is posted in the event that someone wants to learn from a full game demo. It requires you download the Rails of Europe gamebox from this site and the Cyberboard program from the Cyberboard site.

3 Scenario file for 5 player game of Rails of Europe by Cyberboard
This requires the RoE gamebox. There is an extra 6th "player" file generated when a game is started. This allows someone to distribute the Baron cards to everyone without anyone seeing who has which (including the person running the "Set Up Only.gam" file. That file will not be necessary once the game has started. It is suggested that all bidding be by email and only generate files to actually do turns, other than the initial setup file, which is used to place all random RR Ops cards, good, colors and player names in their respective play areas.
