Description Edit | History

Day & Night is a strategic board game where two players duel with asymmetric decks. The many spells and strategies make every game different than the other and exciting until the very last turn. Day & Night is beautifully illustrated with over 40 illustrations, specially created for this game by fantasy artist Eerin Vink.

Plan your actions and anticipate on the actions of your opponent; combine spells, use them at the right time and make sure your pawn is located at the right place on the board. Day & Night is a challenge for everyone who likes strategic board games!

In Day & Night, two players duel as Lady Day and Lady Night. The board has 44 squares which can be filled with tiles of either Day or Night. By getting enough of your tiles next to each other, you can build a temple. You win the game when you've built two temples.

Tiles are placed by playing cards (Spells and Miracles) from your deck (Book of Spells). Both players have different deck with a different theme ("Mystify" for Lady Day and "Crystallize" for Lady Night). The deck have different abilities, and the both characters have their own style of play.

More Information Edit | History

Five billion years of doing the same work has caused the sisters to tire of their jobs; they want to retire. But how to decide who can stay in their beautiful palace? Day and Night stand on opposite sides of the valley of emptiness, a spine-chilling place with floating boulders, used ever since the Dawn of Time and Memory to battle for justice. The goal is to build two Temples and in doing so honor the gods and enforce justice. Naturally, neither party will let the other go about their business. They will have many opportunities to thwart the plans of the other. For in order to build a Temple, they will need to gain control of their surroundings.

The Goal
Build two temples to win the game. A temple consists of a pattern of nine tiles bordering on each other. All the tiles have to be of your own type (Day or Night). Whenever a player succeeds in creating such a pattern, he or she puts nine 'Temple-counters' on those tiles. These tiles cannot be turned over or changed for the rest of the game!

The Means
Tiles are created by playing Spells. Each turn you have "12 hours" to use for playing spells and for moving your pawn across the board. When you play a spell, you deduct the number of hours that is shown in the top left corner of that Spell from the total number of hours you have left. For every tile your pawn travels, you draw a new spell from your book of spells and deduct 3 hours from the total number of hours you have left.

0 Day & Night_rules_FR_'alpha' by aXs
OK, I re-uploaded (again!) a revised/corrected version. Still based on the one previously uploaded by user 'Choubi', but without remarks or english terms. Reviewed it again, added some suggestions. One or two points on which I'm waiting for author's agreement (I trust they simply implicit details, but maybe they were intentional "voids"?) I consider it "Alpha" as I've also harmonised the terms used with those on Linael's Cards Translation. See my comments on his file if you want to take part! It's getting really close to a "French-Kit" I really hope though that this will ease the task and speed up a final French version. Hope even more to see it edited in France too! thx user RAD for pointint out that I should have payd attention to file-specs during upload.
