In Red Shirts, you are one of many Security Unit Chiefs on board a fantastic futuristic starship, responsible for sending your red-shirted security personnel on dangerous missions as mandated by your Captain, and doing what you can to bring them back alive. GAME OVERVIEW
The game is played in a series of Missions. During each Mission, a number of phases are conducted in order. First, a new Mission is drawn from the Captain's Orders deck. Then, each player in turn forms a Landing Party using his Red Shirts cards to help complete the mission. Players then collect dice to form their personal dice pools, and roll the dice. Then, players in turn place their rolled dice on Red Shirt cards in an attempt to kill off their opponents' Red Shirts, or save their threatened staff. Cards may also be played to affect the action. Killed Red Shirts are taken by the players who played the final Threat face on them, and count toward final scores. Surviving Red Shirts are returned to the ship (keeping any dice they have acquired), hands are restocked, and a new Mission is drawn. The play of the game proceeds clockwise around the table until all Red Shirts are killed, at which point final scores are determined. The player with the highest score wins.
