World War I is a simulation on the army level of the land combat in Europe from 1914 to 1918. the simulation is primarily a land conflict with the secondary influence of naval forces abstractly simulated. The game covers five years in semi-annual (six-month) turns.
This is a small (100 counter) representation of World War I.
Mobilization Points are absolutely central to the third edition (Decision Games, 2015) of this outstanding game, even more so than CRPs were to the two previous editions. But keeping track of the pesky little things isn't easy, especially as the boxes on the on-map track aren't quite big enough for the MP markers. So, even though book-keeping isn't my favourite part of wargaming, I've prepared some tables that I fill in as I go along, which help me to record and remember how MPs are won, lost, earned, spent, donated and received during the course of each turn. I have found them fairly useful, so I attach them herewith for the use of other players.
This is an unofficial document, not approved by Decision Games. It was created from the original DG PDF of the WW1 rules and has the official DG errata incorporated into it. The only other charges have been to move the charts and tables to the end, adding the official optional rules and scenario set up maps and dealing with a couple of obvious typos. If in doubt the original DG rules and errata take precedence over this document. Please check page size and page breaks before printing.
01.10.15 DG have now produced an official v2 of the rules with the errata at http://strategyandtacticsmagazine.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/S294_WWI_Rules_V5F-e-rules.pdf
