In this latest collaboration between Bruno Cathala and Ludovic Maublanc, players must buy the favor of the gods in their race to be the first player to build two cities in the Ancient Greek island group known as the Cyclades.
Victory requires respect for all the gods - players cannot afford to sacrifice to only one god, but must pay homage to each of five gods in turn. Each turn, the players bid for the favors of the gods, as only one player can have the favor of each god per turn - and each player is also limited to the favor of a single god per turn.
Ares allows the movement of player armies and the building of Fortresses.
Poseidon allows players to move their navies and build Ports.
Zeus allows his followers to hire priests and build temples.
Athena provides her worshipers with philosophers and universities.
This a full 2-page Player Aid I designed For Cyclades, and its two expansions: Hades and Titans. It also includes Hecate and the Manticore promos. It was a lot of puzzling, but it includes all you should need: the Gods (save Apollo, cause he's so straightforward), ALL the creatures, the divine favours, the Heroes, the Buildings (with the special metropolises), the characters, Magic Items and Artefacts. Print it on both sides of an A4, laminate it and you'll have a nifty player aid. Zt least that's my goal. All comments are welcome (I know C3K is not in there, but it's such a specific expansion and I really didn't have the room anymore tho squeeze them in). Hope you enjoy it!
This variant was originally designed to allow players to use both boards from Cyclades and Titans to play on a huge map. It uses several modifications of the rules, which were needed to balance the game and reduce its playing time. It has been tested several times and work fine for our group of players, but you may tweak it to suit your needs if you wish to give it a go. Note that it is a fairly complicated variant, so I woundn't recommend testing it before playing several games of Cyclades with its extensions. Enjoy!

Cyclades is a beautifully produced game, with wonderful components, unique in every way. A lot of effort has gone into the presentation of the game
But in one way I think it is lacking. The philosopher cards are really boring, just being copies of a generic man pondering. I have therefore made a new set of cards, as I just could not bear to play without having unique cards for Plato, Aristotle and Socrates, and wish to share them with you copyright free.
The philosophers all come from Raphael's painting "The School of Athens" in the Vatican. This means that they share a unique style and are copyright free. I hope that they enhance your enjoyment of the game. (You could even learn the names of some Greek philosophers when playing the game)
They don't influence game play in any...
