Crusader Rex is a block game of the 3rd Crusade. One Player plays the Christian Franks, the other, the Muslim Saracens. The objective of the game is to control important Victory Cities such as Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus, and Antioch.
The board depicts the Middle East from Antioch in the north to Egypt in the south.
A breakdown of the Saracen blocks by Emirs and Nomads. It notes the special abilities of the Nomads who can Harry as well as which blocks are irreplaceable. This is more of an aid for someone who's not familiar with the game.
A breakdown of the Frank blocks by Crusaders, Turcopoles, Pilgrims, Outremers and the 2 Military Orders. It notes the special abilities of the Turcopoles and the B Class blocks as well as which blocks are irreplaceable. This is more of an aid for someone who's not familiar with the game.
An alternate ruleset for Crusader Rex with some different ground rules, like:
* Drastically altered victory conditions which forces the Saracen player into action * Returning Order blocks
* Altered siege rules, and some optional rules to make them even harder * Penalty for attacking with more blocks then the Command Rating
* Disrupting Command Range for pinned and besieged leaders
* Removed concept of withdraw
My own version of stickers to Crusader Rex - I prefer knights postures instead of simple shields on the blocks.
Compatible with CR 2.0.
Some texts on stickers are in Polish.
Part 2 historical units to add to the original game to complement the earlier submission of Cilicians etc.
I originally toyed with the idea of introducing the Slingers and Ahdath through an event card but lack the skill to design the card. I may revisit this option another time along with possibly a Children's Crusade black block
