MORE INFO ABOUT BOARD GAME
In this game, you need to collect as much as gold as you can and use that gold to buy accessories (power-up) before the monster boss appears. To collect gold you must either solve quests (which will give a large amount of gold) or battle monsters (which obviously will give a smaller amount of gold). Monster encounters use the chit pull mechanic where if the monster corresponds to your whereabouts, that encounter will happen. Battle is solved by rolling dice. If any player solves the 4th quest, the boss monster will appear and start to terrorize the island by moving to each city or town. Once the all cities and towns are destroyed, everyone loses. If anyone manages to defeat or gives the last hit to the boss, he/she wins the game.
Q&A
1) Are you obliged to attempt to Escape a Battle before you Fight the Monster?
No, it's optional.
2) The rule about Boss Monster says: "Battle is handled differently with the boss, where hero can only attack it once during his/her turn. The boss never recovers, damage is cumulative." I don't understand this sentence at all:
a) Does that mean each time you Fight a normal Monster you have to extinguish all its HP with one dice roll? If you don't, and both you and the monster survived, you must try to Escape again and then Fight again with the monster at full HP?
Fight a normal monster is conducted in rounds until one or another's HP are used up. At the beginning of each round, you may escape. When you manage to escape the monster goes back into the encounter pile.
b) But when you Fight the boss you both just keep rolling until one or another's HP are used up?
You only attacks the boss once during your turn and then your turn ends (which means you only roll once and your turn ends whatever the result maybe). Any damages received by the boss is cumulative (i.e the boss received 2 damages in Rhat Gullad and he received another 5 damages in Pryde Fort, overall damages are 7.)
c) If your character's HP are used up fighting a normal Monster the battle ends, the monster leaves, and the only effect on your character is losing 1/2 their gold?
Yes, at least for now. It does hurt when you lose a lot of gold as you really needs it to buy accessories and other player is catching up with their quest.
d) If the boss kills a character what happens to the character?
This one is pure mistake we forgot to include in the game. I will fix this in a new version. If you die during a fight with the boss, you recover all HP, end your turn and you miss you next turn.
3) What are Boss Monster's AP & HP?
THE BOSS AP 6 HP 10
4) If Boss killed before wiping out the four locations, who wins? Character who kills Boss or Character with the most gold?
The hero who kills the boss LAST is the winner. Its actually open to player to interpret.
