Frederick Albert Ley Herschler, Jr. (October 15, 1926 - September 2, 2013) was a Minnesota-born 3M Bookshelf game designer who worked for years in the field of sales management. The 3M Company, formerly known as the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company, is also from Minnesota. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota, class of 1949. He moved to North Carolina in 1985 when he married. Herschler served in the U.S. Navy as a RM 2nd class during World War II.
He died in Greensboro, North Carolina, after battling cancer.
