April 30, 2010 (Revised June 14, 2015):
Jonathan Leistiko is the primary creative force behind Invisible City Productions. Invisible City Productions launched in January of 2000 and released one free print-and-play game every month 'till December 2009. In March 2015, Jonathan started publishing one free game every month again; As of June 2015, Invisible City Productions has 126 free print-and-play games. Almost all of the free games released by Invisible City Productions were designed by Jonathan and are indexed on BoardGameGeek. Now the Invisible City Productions website acts as a repository of design thoughts and inside info on Invisible City Productions' future game release plans (updated periodically). In 2010, he co-published Inevitable, a dystopic board game set in a future not much bleaker than our own, along with Jeremy Bushnell. Inevitable is notable for being the first successful board game on Kickstarter (Oooh! Fancy!).
At the beginning of 2009, Jonathan approached publishers with some of his more popular and unreleased designs. This yeilded two commercial releases: The Isle of Doctor Necreaux (A 2010 Silver Origins award winner!) and Pressure Matrix.
Jonathan lives in sunny Pflugerville, Texas (Directly north of Austin, live music capitol of the US and home of SXSW and ACL!) with his sweetie, Desirée and three cats (Bianca, Cleo, and Cole). Aside from games and game design, Jonathan also enjoys making neat gadgets with his Arduino, building decorative water fountains, cooking, rock climbing, and origami.
Jonathan worked at Steve Jackson Games as a Game Developer for about half a year. He's currently the webmaster for texVet.org, an information resource for veterans in Texas. He's also the coordinator for Protospiel South.
