The success of the Warhammer World and Warhammer 40,000 settings has encouraged Games Workshop Ltd. to create several spin-off products over the years, to varying levels of success. The card games based on the Warhammer universes are examples of minor releases that have typically been prompted by popular trends in gaming at the time.

More recently, card games set in the Warhammer universes have been licensed to Fantasy Flight Games along with various board games from the settings.
