Kuźnia Gier

Kuźnia Gier is a publishing house operating on the Polish game market since 2004. We specialize in creating and publishing card, board and role-playing games.

We cooperate with other companies in publishing games. We've published two card games based on the computer game The Witcher (one is available for purchase and the second one was a part of the computer game's collector's edition) in cooperation with CD Projekt RED. Additionally, together with Q-Workshop we have published the Polish edition of Steve Jackson's Munchkin.

2011 Essen releases:

Alcatraz – the infamous Rock, a well-known American top-security prison. It is said that no one has ever escaped from there. But it’s not really true... "Alcatraz: the Scapegoat" is a cooperative game for 3-4 players which features an innovative “scapegoat” mechanism. The players cooperate in order to escape from the legendary prison, but they also know that, according to the plan, one person has to stay on the island as the eponymous scapegoat. Who is going to be this person? The most useless player. And you don’t want to be this guy!

"Top-A-Top" is a simple and fast-playing party game in which players take turns placing their cards in the middle of the table and reacting appropriately to the funny pictures on the cards played, e.g. by making special gestures or saying something. Your reflexes and the ability to make associations are crucial. Your reaction has to be quick and appropriate or else you lose a turn and take all the cards on the table into your pile. The first player to get rid of all of his cards wins.

In 2010 Kuźnia Gier published the second edition of "Pirates: Governor's Daughter". 2009 releases were:

KINGPIN, a tactical board game for 2 players, participants play the roles of the eponymous kingpins – mafia bosses.The objective of the game is to defeat the enemy mafia, led by the opponent. Three important features of the game are: a two-sided game board, featuring two different maps, three victory conditions available for the players, and the lack of randomness during play.

THE WITCHER: Adventure Card Game, for 2 to 4 players, based on the bestselling Polish novel wrote by Andrzej Sapkowski and the computer game "The Witcher" created by CD Projekt RED and distributed by Atari worldwide. Players hire an unbeatable warrior Geralt to kill monsters, which ravage the countryside. The players hire an unbeatable warrior, Geralt the witcher, to kill monsters which ravage the countryside. The players have to use special abilities of Geralt's friends, collect attack cards, events cards and gold.

Apart from the board games, Kuźnia Gier is also the publisher of SGK Veto - the first Polish CCG - and Wolsung - a steam pulp fantasy role-playing game (available in English in 2012!).
