This was a version of the game exclusively retailed through the Barnes and Noble stores in 2008. The game comes in a bookshelf sized box, and includes plastic miniature armies. The art, miniatures and other components are otherwise identical to the 2003 Parker Brothers edition. The board folds in six sections to fit in the box, but artwork is otherwise also identical to the 2003 version.

Like the 2003 version, players have optional secret missions and a unique 2 player rule set other year's editions lacked.
