I play games for fun and pursuing the goal to win the game is fun! :)
This is basically a somewhat more complex Checkers ("Dame" in German) with a light wargame theme. Compared to Checkers, the board (which depicts the sourroundings of the battle of Waterloo) is larger and there are five different area types, four of which have restrictions on the movement rules. Another important difference to Checkers is that jumping moves which remove opponent's pieces don't have to be taken when possible.
So this is a completely determinate game, but complex enough that it doesn't matter that much, even current computers should have a hard time to determine if blue or red wins or the game ends in a draw with perfect play (my guess would be a draw).
