Se volete un gioco semplicissimo da poter giocare aspettando l'autobus o in treno o mentre fate la coda alla posta, questo è il gioco ideale. Facilissimo nelle regole ma con una profondità strategica inusuale per un gioco così semplice.

Never really been a fan of card games but this is set in my favourite gaming period hence my tentative interest. Well, what a cracking buy this turned out to be - playable within 30 mins, once you get through the very brief and VERY vague rules. I suggest you read the FAQ on this site (recently updated by yours truly) before tackling this but it is well worth the effort. Great design and an ideal 'filler' if you're looking for a fast & fun fix in between more serious gaming business.

Fun and Fast. I used to think it this was just a little bit better than L: Midway due to feeling like I have more control and that a come back is more probable; now I like them about the same, but they are very different games. Good job of making slight tweaks in mechanics to accomplish the right flavor in each of these games.

Good, simple WWII-themed card game. The game does manage to convey a WWII/D-Day feel quite well.

My Brother and I found that the game seems difficult to win as the Allies, so there may be a slight play balance issue in that regard.

I just played for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice, quick, clean mechanics and a plausible recreation on the Normandy invasion. It took just the advertised 30 minutes, leaving plenty of time to try Midway as well (and also play Shadowfist and Spycraft on the night)

Quick fun easy to learn game. Still managed to have a few rule mistakes and misunderstandings. Also it's a card game so you have to expect bad hands every now and again. Thus the allies never got off the beaches.

This is a fantastic skirmish card game. Really, it is only about using your plusses and minuses to eliminate your opponent's cards but the modifiers create some tough decisions. Perhaps the numbers could have been clearer on the cards (i.e. just notating the numbers simply ast Attack/Defense) But, the art is evocotive and I like the escalating conditions per turn. Sure you can get a lucky or unlucky draw, but you will most likely win or lose based on how you played the game. Fans of Battleline should like this.

[Verssen] Incredible, fast fun two-player game. It plays as fast as a Lost Cities or Scarab Lords, but with a WWII theme. The best two-player, con-collectible game on the market bar none. Not fond of the moldy old historical photos for art, but the game plays great. Huge thanks to my comrade Dan for discovering, teaching, and also buying for me!

I've been on this site for 10 years now, and I'm far from sick of games, but I think I am, to some degree, sick of learning too many new games. I'm also tired of playing 4+ hr multiplayer games, but I'll still happily play really long games 2 player.

[4 plays] This plays differently from others in the series (they are all unique beasts) in that the attacks are pre-programmed to some extent by force card/beach allocations. It doesn't always feel like you can control your fate to your satisfaction, but that isn't always a bad thing in a wargame. Perhaps more luck than Midway and Africa, but a very solid and fun game nevertheless.

Most recent play 10-28-06 with Garrett.

A solid game that plays quickly and requires both players to manage their resources in planning their attacks. (overcommit to one battle and you may end up helpless for the rest of the turn) You can get some wildly different games depending upon how the cards come out.

A pretty decent game. I was going to give it a 6/10 but couldn't considering the fun my friend and I had when we played the game. With the fun factor included in the rating I have to give it a 7. Now if we played this game everyday, I'm sure I could find more negatives, but as it is a fun, casual game.

Excellent little 2 player game, Played 2 games. Once with each side.

Game is very enjoyable. Looking into getting my own copy. Also looking into other games in the same series.

Don't have that many 2 player games. This is one I would want to get.

*update*

Played 5 more times. After more plays, not sure I want this game as much. Looks like game might be not well balance, making the game replay value drop. Germans are too strong.

Enjoyed my first few games a lot. When I played more, wanted the game less.

Down grade from an 8 to 7. Still enjoyable though.

Fast playing beer and pretzels card game on the D-Day landings. Players have a hand of cards related to either the Axis or Allies and are trying to capture the famous beaches. Each beach has a set number of forces which are randomly activated each turn.

The luck of the draw is frustrating but it's short enough that one can just start another hand if you lose. A better more tense game than Midway with shades of Battleline (Schotten Totten).

A bit strong on luck. Cards drawn in earlier rounds can be very different in use and strength than the same card drawn in a later round, leading to some inherent imbalance. But if you just take what you get and go with it, it's a fun diversion.
