Great game with 2 or 4 players. I love this game. The fact that it plays in under and hour and there is still quite a bit of strategy involved is great.

This has become one of my favorite filler or entry level games for me. It plays quickly, games are usually close, rules are easy to explain, and strategy can feel tense. This game scales extremely well between 2-4 players and I really don't have a preference for any size in particular. I've played the older version and own the newer version. The rules are the exact same (minus the addition of the wizard) and the plastic castles in the newer version are slightly nicer than the cardboard markers but certainly didn't change the enjoyment I have with the game.

My wife likes it a lot, and I think it's pretty good if a bit overly straightforward.

We taught it to our six-year-old son and he LOVES it. The three of us play it every day, and he's playing it all the time on our iOS devices. He's really good at it, too!

So I've played this dozens of times in the last few weeks, and you know what? I still find the game engaging and am not tired of it. That's a 10 for us.

Just a fantastic game. I will always look forward to playing this. Plays quite fast, too, which is a plus.

I'm giving it a 10 for the easiness of learning/teaching the game, speed of play, and a touch of depth.

A fine game that I think plays best with 2 or 3 players. Actually I should say I enjoy playing best with two or three players. It certainly plays ok with four players. I love the screw your neighbor aspect and I love the protect yourself if you can aspect more and more. 9.5 is where this goes to.

This is a gem! It's quick, smart and easy to learn. I've mostly used it as a two-player game, and it works perfectly for that. It is the only game I have ever played 5-6 times in an evening.

Fantastic Maths-based game. Elegant and simple and supremely well balanced. A great gateway game and one that everyone loves to play. It's also pretty quick to play so makes a great appetiser or filler.

Only complaint? It deserves a better version than the Fantasy Flight Silver version; it's such a great game I'd love to own an uber-high production version; it really deserves it.

Timeless classic, arguably one of Knizier's best, dont hesitate to try it.

On the surface this looks so simple as all you do is lay tiles. Once you get a few tiles on the board, though, every move will have you wracking your brain. Very confrontational, high screwage factor and incredibly tough decisions to make every turn. One of my favorites.

One of Knizia's most underrated games. A lot of give and take as you must screw your opponents in order to
advance your position. In that sense it's a very un-German like game. One of my favorites!

A great, simple, tactical, tile laying game! Sometimes some of the simplest games are the best, especially when they are beautifully balanced and play as well as this one! We will be playing this one for a while.

good quick game. Lots of luck though depending on what you pick up, or what the person before you picks up. A varient we play is to start with 1 token face down, then each turn draw a tile and decide which of the 2 to play.

My rating is for face-to-face. Here on the Geek, which is where I log most of my plays, I'd rate it just a tad lower. This game appeals to the numbers lover in me. This is why I consider Knizia the dean of design - something so simple can be so enjoyable and he does it with such regularity.

I'm liking the hell out of this. Both in person and online. BUT TWO PLAYER IS BEST. Seat order is crucial in multiplayer -- too crucial.

(Amusingly, I originally meant to write "I'm loving the hell out of this" but decided the profanity was not needed, but then I got confused and changed the work "loving" to "liking" instead of "hell" to "heck". That is to say, I meant to write "I'm loving the heck...". Does that make me a prude?)

I have yet to introduce this game to someone who doesn't end up liking it. It's simple and straightforward, but still provides lots of agonizing decisions to make. Great fun!

A table 6x5, 12 positive tiles (+1..+6) and 6 negative (-1..-6). I hate to realize how is so "easy" to bring out great game from minimal components and rules.
A perfect gateway for new followers.
This is one of my favourite games that bring Knizia as my top designer ranking. GREAT!
