Giant monsters (including a monkey). How can you beat that?
Please someone, design a Monsters Menace Japan or Europe, bring in a giant robot and I can stop buying games for I will have it all.
Now seriously, I´ve played every two weeks or so in the last year. It´s still my favourite game. Really, seriously.

A improved and streamlined version of Monsters Ravage American. Improvements are game balance, bits, and ease of rules. I dislike the disapear rule though. Great family game.

Amazingly stupid thematic fun. Just *try* to play this without making monster noises or SWOOSH for aircraft moving in for their attack run.

Great for kids or for light, quick dice-rolling fun (the 90 minute playtime is as advertised). Great bits, nice theme, lots of mindless stomp, smash, and killin' action.

Plus, stomping Boston feels GOOD. I like to imagine Bill Belicheat just quite doesn't make it to his evil bunker in time.

Bashing stuff is fun with the right crowd, and the final confrontation can be pretty climactic. The hard part about this is that there is a lot of complexity and length, but the gameplay is pretty light and dicey. Younger boys especially like this one, and people who are young at heart, but bear in mind that most of the enjoyment comes from controling a monster and smashing stuff, not from winning.

Yes the game does end up with handfuls of dice rolling at the end. Yes that makes it feel anticlimactic. But leading up to the end is such a blast, moving military units around that in the end will end up dead but hopefully slow down your competition. That your monster can end up as a side show in Hollywood is amusing. The different ways monsters play. It is just a fun experience. There are better games in the genre but a better game comes at the cost of accessibility which is one of the highest traits that I want in a game.

Squisha! SQUISHA!! There goes Pittsburg!! For people who can get into the theme and the spirit of it, this is one helluva fun game whether you're a slime monster trying to slurp up Seattle, or the U.S. army valiantly trying to stop Kong from crushing Cleveland. The great thing is, you get to do both during the same game. Plus, there's tactics, there's strategy, there's player competition and cooperation, and there's... OH NO!! THERE GOES SAN DIEGO!! LAUNCH THE NUKES, IT'S OUR ONLY HOPE!! I can't predict replayability past 20 games, but I definitely want to play this a second time, as soon as possible. (Update: it kinda sucks with just 2 players, especially if one player gets certain deadly card combinations. It's WAY more fun with 4.)

This game is hilarious. You know all those classic and goofy monster movie concepts? Well they've basically combined all of those into a game. Of course they changed the names of the monsters to avoid copyright problems, but we'll all be able to figure out some of the classic ones. The best part is, you get to play as a monster! So you get to visit various locations in the U.S. and destroy the towns while fighting the military forces. I think most people will find this game highly enjoyable.

Biased rating, of course, since I designed the game! While I'm still not incredibly fond of the end-game, I have yet to figure a better one, and it hasn't prevented me (or anyone else I've demo'd it for) from having a good time making silly monster noises.

So far one really great play with me and the boy. Came right down to the wire but I just edged him out for the win. Than we noticed that we didn't hit our special rules for the monsters every turn. With that he might have one. Had a blast though

A great game all around. Great bits, clear rules, lots of dice and hilarious results. It just oozes with it's theme and gameplay is fun as you bash and crush your way across the USA. This game is pure FUN!

Think it has too much silliness or dice chucking and not enough strategy? Come here I've got a cadaver waiting to play you in a game of chess. Have fun with that.

Fun family game with the kids...Have yet to convince the wife to play I got it from Toys-R-Us for $19.95; well worth it at this price! I just got home from work, and my kids are all ready to play again! I would say the downside is the military units need to have more fighting power. Check for variants, as this game is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites!

Sortof like "Risk-lite", with a more comical theme. Easier and quicker to learn and play than Risk, but lacks a good deal of the strategic depth as a result. Still, stomping major cities and national landmarks is always fun...

Although the end game is a bit random and so to a large extent determining the winner is a bit arbitrary I still enjoy MMA every time that I play.

The game itself, while not a brain-burner by any stretch gives enough options to try out different approaches to powering up your monster and crucifying your opponents monster in simple, evocative and fun ways.

The components are great and the art on the box cover and cards is very nice. The fact that its a game about giant monsters trashing things doesnt hurt either.

I love it and wouldnt dream of getting rid of it

I actually kind of like it. A good mix of ways to enhance your monster while preventing others from doing the same. There's even a positioning battle for the challenger advantage of going first in the monster challenge. The monster challenge reminds me of the battle with the Ancient One at the end of Arkham Horror which we actually tend to enjoy so liking this game is natural.

Fuck the naysayers...this is still the absolute best Kaiju boardgame on the market. It's all about the build up. Smash cities, mutate, power up and then in end you have a big epic, dumb dice fest to end it. Great family game and a true classic in the Ameritrash genre.

You get to go around America with gigantic monsters and smash stuff! Also, use your branch of the military to slow down opponents' monsters. Very fun game with great theme. Only criticism is that the end is a little bit of a dice fest, and can feel a little random and anti-climatic.

This is a great laugh. You get to control a giant movie monster and a wing of the armed forces. Stomp on cities across America to gain bonuses for your monster and life while trying to beat up the other players monsters with your military. Then once America has been sufficiently stomped on the monsters go against one another in the final battle. 1 Play.
