Here the truceless armies yet / Trample, rolled in blood and sweat; / They kill and kill and never die; / And I think that each is I. // None will part us, none undo / The knot that makes one flesh of two, /

Sick with hatred, sick with pain, / Strangling -- When shall we be slain? // When shall I be dead and rid / Of the wrong my father did? / How long, how long, till spade and hearse / Puts to sleep my mother's curse?

Very weird mechanisms, even with regards to the supposèd concept of the game, at times, but it was unorthodox fun!

THis game was quite amusing at forst, but the theme quickly wore thin. As the first player ELIMINATED, I felt myself the true winner.

The theme wears a little thin after a couple of rounds, but the game play (for its time) was novel and interesting. Too bad it doesn't hold your interest.

I was never convinced that there was actually a game here. Perhaps the designer found his level.

Thrift store purchase. Not a game I would invest any effort into anymore.

Man, I've held on to this stupid game for decades, keeping it solely becuase of the gag value of its tie-in, its sheer oddness. Those days are finally over, and now The Peter Principle Game will be moving on to a new home – or the recycling bin. One way or another, though, this game is headed out the door...

The original rules to this game have a provision on what to do with a player who cheats: tie him to a chair for two hours and force him to listen to Wayne Newton records. I've always thought this was a pretty effective rule. In fact, this is a game in which the rule book is better than the game itself.
