It can take a long time (more than 15 minutes) to play if you are playing with someone who likes to dump the high number of Mt. Olympus. So instead of having 90, a card is played that changes the digit order. Now Mt. Olympus is at 9, which is a long way from the desired 100.

my one complaint for this game is that it can last a few minutes or well over an hour, but it plays quick -you're always engaged, it's easy to learn, portable, no set up, people can easily drop in or out in between rounds so besides the unreliable time to finish it makes a great game to just have on hand and play anywhere, anytime with just about anyone.

Like the game 99 you can play with regular cards, but with cute graphics of Zeus. We got this as the kids entered school. It got lots of use.

In terms of gameplay, this deserves MAYBE a 5. But I gave it an 8 because there's more here... There aren't many bits in this game (deck of cards, one plastic yellow Zeus figurine), but they are outstanding. The illustrations on the cards are captivating, and the Zeus figure makes the game. There's a plus 1 rating point right there. The Zeus figure gets stolen (that's how it's phrased in the game!), and the yanking Zeus out from in front of another player and stamping him down in front of you, though most of the time meaningless, is SO satisfying. There's another plus 1 point. The third bonus point comes from the fact that almost everyone I know loves playing this silly little game! This game is great for getting the games going. The game is geared for younger kids and features simple arithmetic, but the adults I play with eat it up. Any game that gets people playing gets a bonus point. Yeah, Zeus is an 8.

Love this with kids or just with adults. Good math skills practice. Lots of ripping the victory out from under each other! Great intro for being a good sport in bigger games later.

Catch Zeus if you can! The great Greek god has bolted from Mount Olympus and it’s up to you to nab this dashing deity. Play cards strategically, adding numbers as you climb up the mythic mountain. Grab Zeus when the total reaches a multiple of 10. Better yet, summon the strength of Apollo, Poseidon, or all-powerful Hera to bring Zeus within your grasp. Reach the top of Mount Olympus with Zeus in hand and you’re a mortal among the gods. To play is human. To win, divine!

Did you know that, in addition to their supreme powers, the Greek gods were endowed with the special ability to change the course of card games? Well, at least that’s the case in Zeus on the Loose! As you figure out how harness the strengths of the various gods within, you’ll sharpen strategic thinking along with valuable addition and subtraction skills. A quick warning about Hera: Though she may be the most powerful goddess in the game, don’t get on her bad side or else she might wind up helping an opponent steal Zeus and win!

I love a swingy game. Theme is light, strategy is light, but makes for some big smiles and exciting moments in the classroom.

One of the best filler gamers all around adding to this that it is also one of the best kids games, and topping it all, it still is a blast with non-gamers or gamers alike.
