Adds another player to the game. I really like playing with the Guest. Some of the abilities are very useful.

n the Gloom card game, you make your eccentric family of misfits suffer the greatest tragedies possible before helping them pass on to the well-deserved respite of death. Just mix the 55 transparent cards in this new set together with your copy of Gloom to add morbid new Modifiers, Events, and Untimely Deaths, and a new family - the malodorous Malone mob - including The Broken Arms Hotel as a Residence card to use with the Unhappy Homes expansion. When Boils Malone brought his family overseas to “get away from the heat,” he wasn’t expecting quite so much rain!

This expansion adds some really nice elements to the game and can extend it out to be a bit longer.

Lots of interesting guest characters - the guest mechanic can make it hard to keep track of things, but if you can manage them they're lots of fun. Atlas REALLY should have included some kind of specific rulesheet to explain that Whiskers can only be claimed using a specific 'steal a guest' card mechanic (rather than making me search through their irritating website with no search feature for a half an hour to try to find necessary information).

A great expansion with a handful of new floating characters, which constantly switch sides. Also, dozens of new cards that simply expand the original game play. This allows for a deeper level of strategy for this light on the strategy game. The downside is that it adds on more time to an already long game. Unfortunately, there are no markers to differentiate these cards from the classic cards.

More Gloomy stuff! One more player, the 'guest' cards are hilarious to screw with one another back and forth, and it even expands upon Unhappy Homes a little with another Residence card.

Doesn't ship in original box. Replaced it with a hard deck protector. Will trade base game and two expansions as one game.

Actually improves on the original, gets really fiddly when combined with Unhappy Homes. It gets a full 7 for having AMAZINGLY improved card quality and manufacturing values over the original. I would rebuy the game if they put out these quality cards.

Necessary expansion for Gloom.
Adds characters to the game who move around, making it harder to kill all your characters. And it provides a way to move the effect of their latest modifier around.

I purchased this for the extra family and additional "standard" cards. The guests, and the cards relating to them, I could have done without.

Now this is another great expansion from Atlas Games that adds a good amount to the original game. It took me most of the game to figure out how the guests affected the game, but once I figured it out it really made the game quite a bit more interesting.

Love the artwork!
