No too many extra rules compared to the "standard" 18xx rules. Relatively quick playing time. I really like this one.

May all beings be happy. Whatever beings there may be, whether they are weak or strong, without exception, long, big, medium, short or small, whether visible or invisible, those living near or far, those born or to-be-born, may all beings be happy!

Very beautiful game: it is very playable and maybe a bit less aggressive than other games of the 18xx series.

There are a lot of innovative things compared to other 18xxs, the most significant being the Bank of England: between other things companies go in receivership instead of bankrupting, making the punishment less hard for the director of the company.

As other games of the series it offers a lot of choices, so significantly more and deeper than the average Euro game that for me it is a real pleasure to play, there are so many ways to be creative.

The only problem is the length: it is a middle length 18xx game, that means still being around 5 hours, more in the first games. If it were not for this I would rate the game at "11"

Very recommended if you like deep gamer's games and you are not frightened by the length and by the fact that you will need all your neurons to win this

A very interesting shorter 18xx title. It plays really well and is fast. A great filler if we do not wish to do a 1817 or a 1844. This scratches the itch perfectly.

A bit overwrought (you can play a few matches and see a few elements of the design not come into play at all) but still pretty fun. The map is interesting, even if (or perhaps because of this) it does develop pretty much on the coast.

After a cruel 3p match, I raised the rating by 0.5. I finally got my match were all players placed their stations. Ouch.

비교적 짧은 시간 안에 즐길 수 있는 18xx 시리즈.
지역에 따라 철도 게이지가 변화한다는 점이 독특하다.

This is a nice 3-4 player 1830-style game with some unique flavour in the form of gauge changes (which are highly abstracted), a National bank system and various bonus runs to reward long-term strategy. I find the initial auction a bit needlessly unusual, but otherwise the game is very solid and attractive as well.

ASL ... yes, this is my Desert Island Game. If I have to give up all my 3000+ games and only allowed to keep one, this would be it. This bloody game stood the test of time. Around for more than 25 years - simply the best.

One of the best of medium length 18xx games. Has interesting track development with gauge changes and double cities, nice stock market activity and several twists to spice up the gameplay - mainly Bank of England that has it´s own shares, and it´s share price and dividends depend on how many loans are taken and how many bankrupt companies are taken over by the bank.

Relatively short 18xx with tight capital. Loans replace emergency money raising, but they are sufficiently punishing that this does not make the game easier. Laser-focus on the question "Where are my permanent trains coming from?". If you can't answer this question, you may not get to keep all of your companies.

Rather small map where token placement is usually vicious. Some privates properties were a bit useless. I've played only once with five and assume it would be better with four. In general a really good 18xx which can be played in 4-4.5h.

Very interesting 18xx. Quite fast to play, yet has deep decisions. Financing forced train purchases with loans instead of president cash makes this one very different from most other 18xx games.

+ Great game that adds some brilliant twists to the 18xx genre. We played it in 5 hours which is within the reasonable playtime for me. Its method for auctioning the private companies is by far my favourite.
- Expensive, but that's what happens when you buy an almost homemade game.
